Hi Z5 users ----
I have upgraded to kitkat 184.108.40.206 release on november 5th-------battery was a bit concern ------
I have done factory resetting afteri upgrated my phone to kitkat - and with heavy usage my battery goes from 98% morning 8AM to 3% the next day morning 7 AM ---- we can expect better than this.......
After upgrading - doing factory resetting will make your mobile as smooth as ever with better battery performance -----buyt you moght lose some data like watsapp history - message history etc......but thats fine
Go for 730 if you want to feel windows touch and camera of 730 is a top notch - equivalent to 20MP sony cameras......
If you are determined to buy android - close your eyes and buy Z5 as it is the next best thing available in the market than MI3

Plz reply soon guys...............
oh come on..how long have u using smartphone?do u know what is pendrive, hardisk,SSD or any other storage gadget?...its the same and apply to all of those...if u buy 16GB(example),u wont ever gt EXACTLY 16GB..some space is require for the file system or in easy words 'the thing that make it works'..i think the person who still ask about this is never realise or aware of what they are buying.
a google widget may be "google now" i dont know' just appears at the bottom of my screen and it wont let me use my z5...i dont know what to do..it wont even let me turn my phone off or go to my apps..what to do guys?
gung, 01 Dec 2014My camera gets crashed whenever I try to record videos...why is that happening??My camera crashes whenevr i try to make video.please help me.
Most smartphones when they say 8GB internal storage or whatever the size is, it is not technically the size shown on the paper. Of course the Android operating system needs to allocate atleast 2GB or so for its system files which is most of the time as read only. So technically when you say 8GB you have to expect that it will be deducted by 1GB or 2GB atleast. That goes for all smartphones even on idevices by Apple.
If you are expecting a full 8GB then expect that there will be no Android operating system in it.
gung, 01 Dec 2014My camera gets crashed whenever I try to record videos...why is that happening??its because of google now, uncheck 'enable from any screen ' setting in google now
is user memory of asus zenfone 5 is 8gb as if they mentioned earlier, but when it came to real time it became 5gb.so any one tel me how to get back memory of 8 gb or it is un changable
1. Root method that worket for me without problem:
2. install Hibernate not Greenify (hibernate=greenify+money)
3. install DisableService and disable the 'location' services on googleplayservices
You would get 50% or more battery time. :-)
My camera gets crashed whenever I try to record videos...why is that happening??
AnonD-336647, 29 Nov 2014I totally disagree with it.. but i respect your comment. I'm just a zenfone 5 user from Phi... moreI too agree with you. That person is surely completely lieing here or he is out of his mind.
AnonD-336914, 01 Dec 2014Hey..guys, I use dis fon last 1 mnth, 1stly as usual evrybdy cmplaind about its btry life nd I... moreI use google apps frequaently like email, chrome, play store so i never stopped these service. If you diable google play service then you wont be able to update your apps or get notified automatically if there is any app update. Rather i choose to disable location access for google play service. I am getting decent battery life with moderate usage. I don't mind recharging my phone after comming from office.
I never faced any major issues except fast battery drainage after kitkat update but resolved with next battery fixed update.
