Just bought my Zenfone 5 2 weeks ago. At first I experienced problems like I experience lag during multitasking (im a heavy user), batt gets drained very fast especially when using Mobile Data/Wifi and surfing/chatting using chat apps. Apps also crashes, the camera also had some delays. The UI was sometimes crashes too (i still have it now) But after of updating to kitkat and some system updates it was all fixed. Now I don't have any problems so far. I am pretty happy for the update. Now I am afraid of updating it if ever a new update comes. My suggestion to all who's thinking about buying this phone, you should buy it. Its definitely worth the price.

I tried the hard reset also. But of no use.

hi guys i want to purchase zenfone 5 but m confuse between zenfone 5 & moto g bcoz i heard that zenfone has certen prob such as it's battery back up is bad, video calling not supported, and most imp it is not further upgradable to lollypop android version ? pls tell me what should i do ?

KIT-KAT update was smooth, videos show that it will have issues. I took the risk trusting ASUS. Only thing happened was that Google Keyboard which I was using as default did not work after the update, which was not a big deal.
Go to tools set ASUS Keyboard as default input and you will be good to go... All The best... :)

1) Go to screen Brightness setting, pull it down to lower then Mid level. Set it to Auto and pull it again to Lower to Mid Level.
2) Turn the GPS off, in case you don't use it often.
This helps in me run Zenfone on One full charge for 12-18 hours depending on the usage.

Is service centres available everywhere???Hi, First thing I did was to call service center to ask about its location in My City, you can get service center details on ASUS website based on your location. ASUS has an inbuilt APP called MyASUS, which will track your service status as well and they also have a hotline number. Fingers crossed that I will not need to use it but nice feature to have for trust.

latest version in play store is not working download older version 2.6.2 from other site and install that then it will ask to download about 381 MB of data and then it was working. One thing it will ask to download some small amount of data at different sections so be ready with data or Wifi for keeping the game running. Please don't update to latest version until they fix it for this phone.
