I had replaced my moto g 2nd gen twice on flipkart but every time I received a defective product.Got fed up with moto g 2 now and have asked flipkart for a refund.
I am thinking of getting zenfone 5.Can the users please comment whether its a good device or not.I have heard that it has battery issues.
How is the battery life of zenfone 5 after updating it to 4.4.2 kitkat.Has the battery life increased or has it further degraded?

My kitkat zenphone 5 is discharging from 100% to 0% in 9 hours with ultra saving on, and sync and update off.
In this state phone is useless.My kitkat zenfone 6 dont have any issue, battery life is great,last whole day with at least 5 hours on screen time, and charging time from 30% to 100% is around 90 minutes.Conclusion,buy zenfone 6 is znfone is what you like.

AnonD-321150, 20 Nov 2014It's not a problem, it will make your phone smoother.Bt when i open apps it decreases to 200 or 300 mb. How could u say that its not a prblm. How could it be smoother when the available ram is so low

Was able to enter the Dos looklike screen (finally) for performing a hard reset.
Will try your other advise as well for updating to KK.

Somebody help me out with the 2 issues i am facing.
1)the update file u download from asus website which name is UL-ASUS_T00F-WW-2.20.40.13-user.zip. please make sure u do not unzip this file. u can directly paste this file in ROOT folder.
2)hold down the Volume up button, then press and hold the Power button for a few second. after u phone enter into fastboot mode. then u will see the list such as reboot droidboot, reboot and so on.so u need do hard reset, just press volume down button and choose factory reset and then press power button to execute.
