I've been using the zenfone this past 3 weeks. Generally, the ZF5 is a fantastic device. But I have some problems regarding the USB OTG support. I have just updated my device to the latest firmware expecting it to support USB OTG but to my disappointment nothing happened when I inserted my USB. I did the hard reset as advised by the ASUS costumer service but still nothing happened. Anybody experiencing the same problem as mine?

hi guys, i have been using this phone since 2-3 weeks ad i must say that not a single problem i have triggered!...battery drains faster but...can be neglected! if u waiting for a good phone at best price this one is the actual one! grab it and enjoy ;)

1)open google play store
2)open settings and select auto-update apps
3)and select Do not auto-update apps....
your problem is solved......

I just realized it after getting my ZF5 replaced by the seller, still not the WW SKU but the TW one, but it's not rooted and can do OTA and can read & write in Korean, the inbuilt apps are not from 3rd party like fb, (eventough has some apps based on Mandarin), the back plate is also not a sticker but a logo, so no problem again. I probably mistaken because just saw the WW user written there not see the CU-Android under that.
back to these days, I downloaded the WW SKU, it can't be applied to my first ZF5 which is CU-Android, so it has to be the same SKU if you want to upgrade the firmware manually, my opinion.
The guy with the facebook app problem should have the same version as my first ZF5, or it might have rooted already by the supplier/anybody out there besides himself. It should be replaced.

Please suggest ....i updatrd the firmware and was it was updating the apps automatically...during this process phone started draining battery fast....i put my phone on charging when iT was 18 percent. But after some time i saw it suddenly became 13 percent and after that the veattery is charging very slow ...
Is it normal during updation or there is some problem ...if yes theb should i do factory reset ...

I have done every OTA update with all their WW firmware from asus website even in sequence but it still failed. I ever tried to do OTA update for my sister's zen5 with steps that you gave me before and sucessfully updated but mine still doesnt work. I read My zen5 box and it says A500CG, BLACK, WW-3G,D,16GGB EMMC+2GB RAM, CU-ANDROID,N/A,N/A. Based from that, is my zen5 is CU version? because I heard rumors that CU-ANDROID is terrible. If it true, what should i do? Is there any possibilities/ways that i could update for the latest firmware?

I have now retested this several times in 2-3 hours calls.

I bought this phone and at first i wad really amazed on what i read here on the net but its starting upset me because of the battery issue its really inconvinient.... even with just texting ir callibg IT DRAINS SO FAST!!!!!
