Eg: htc desire 310 ,xperia l
There r hardly 230ppi.
The display rocks. Try hd wallpaper and u would know the quality.
Camera in day light is extremely good. Low light captures aren't high standard but decent for budget phone.
And modes like gif, in depth, panorama etc are good.
My airtel 2g network works perfect and areas where 3g network is good i use 3g with H+ health.
Wifi i haven't tried yet.
The only issue with this phone is the battery drain which everyone is complaining about.
I have used it for a week now and have noticed that the rapid battery drain is only during the use of 3g data
Otherwise the battery drains like normal phones, be it gaming or call or music or video

I have a lot of issues about this phone

2.The connectivity to basic networks is bad compared to other phones including WiFi.
3.Pathetic Camera
4. Freezing and other lags during multi tasking and gaming
ARE THEY REALLY TRUE??CAN SOMEONE ANSWER?
And how about the service centers in India? I see only two that too in Northern part of India...??

Higher the ram smoother and lag free the interface.
From smooth performance to opening number applications at one time, everything depends on ram.
As u may have noticed,people might have complained about battery issues here but hardly anyone has any negative reviews about this phone. That is because 2gb ram makes the device perform extremely good

But it is not like that it becomes unbearable.
A lil heating is there.
If urz is abnormal heating,making it difficult to hold then apply for replacement

The phone is pretty much decent.
Pros:
* cool look and sleek design
* 5 inch full HD gorilla glass screen
* 2GB RAM , intel 1.6 gHZ makes multitasking smoother
* UI is buttery smooth
* 8mp primary n 2mp front camera gives decent pictures,it also has many other image enhancing features
* true value for money
Cons:
* Often Gets heated up while playing games or heavy multitasking.
* 5inch screen may be a bit bulky to handle.It Depends.
if you keep brand name aside,I would rate it better than motoG in terms of features and value for money.

i want to ask again to the people making a hue and cry about zenfone 5's battery,
Except a phone or two every 5 inch phone under 15k in India has 2000mah battery and most of them are 512mb-1gb ram with mediatek chipset with ppi less than 230 and non ips display.
Asus has given u 2gb ram with intel chipset and 294 ppi and ips display, of course the battery consumption will be higher and for Godz sake any of those mobiles under 15k except canvas power n gionee m2 n xiaomi mi3 will drain fast if u use 3g 24*7.
I am using this phone for gaming music calls and occasional whats app and browsing and it is lasting from 10 am to 8 pm , which is fine for me.
But if u want 3g 24*7
For any phone under 15k except the 3 phones i have mentioned, u will need a power bank.

at a very best one ever used...awsome 5mp cam at a very affordable price...very smooth touch and great sound.. all together am 100% satified with this handset..congrats asus ..hoping for more updates and feature in up coming models (zenfone) this will truly rule the indian mobile market...even micromax is comming with competetors..all the best asus

vaibhav, 21 Jul 2014Front camera is blured ???It obviously lacks the lens and sensor quality of the main cam, but that said it doesn't completely suck either.

Just took this shot and placed it together with the rest of ZenCam photos... only this one is taken with front cam, the rest are taken with the back cam.
One thing that people here don't talk about - there is a selfie mode on main cam. You select number of faces to detect and turn cam to yourself, when it finds all the faces, it will automatically take photo with main 8 MP camera. Just don't do it against strong backlight, else it won't be able to detect any faces...
