Tthis is what exactly happened with the TF201, they messed up a Jellybean update and then after that, no more updates, despite the device slowing to a crawl.
Perhaps they have changed, but I doubt it. This is ASUS we are talking about. They are a hardware company, and have little software experience.

AnonD-248327, 01 May 2014the 16GB version comes with 2GB of ram. Its released in Malaysia already for RM599 roughly USD180.Yeap...bought zen5 yesterday for rm599. Display is awesome...response is quite fast compare to my galaxy s3. 16gb comes with 2gb ram. Enjoying it at the moment. Looking fwd for zen6
