Is the zenfone 6 gonna launch in the UAE?

GPS has problems with applications like Uber, Food Apps and Whatsapp. Location information from GPS sensor/Carrier does not populate coordinates correctly for these apps to work. Google Map has to be restarted once in every 3 times. WHy isn't anyone reporting GPS issue?

ASUS should had implemented an AMOLED or OLED display.
For 500€ it isn't bad but the IPS ...

im really like to buy this smart phone but after see
the negative comment it almost make me want to change my mind to buy the asus zenfone 5z but after I look at the comment before asus 6z get launch in india it don't have any problem at all so I think the problem just happen on 6Z variant and not asus ZenFone 6(the global vision) I hope asus release the phone to other asia country soon as possible btw hope asus india can more careful went release phone or update or people will hate asus product

Since you cannot use it to make calls, I’m using it as a camera tablet.
A couple of observations- Camera does not focus in slow motion. And device gets incredibly hot after continuous use of 5 mins. Yes, you read that right, 5 mins! Gaming is no different with the device reaching 60 degrees after 10 long mins of continuous gaming.

There are another phone (almost same specs) with smaller battery than Zenfone 6/6z but can have better battery efficiency than this one. Phone with 5000mAh and display size around 5.99 to 6.99 inch should can last more than 24 hour, atleast 36 hour. If it cannot last for 24 hour its meaningless to have massive size battery and its better to us to buy phone with smaller size battery

Getting 1 day of average battery usage average on moderate use. This device is still rare so hard to compare mine with another but I’ve seen the Pixel 3a and Oneplus 7 consistently get through >1.5 days. Call quality problems are very real, thank god we have a headphone jack as a workaround. I do not call much so my use is mainly as a mini-tablet. In slow-motion, camera does not focus and night time photos are bad. I can not afford to buy another phone this year so hope Asus fixes these problems soon via updates.

It is known, that you only have to do some settings ...
and the ASUS 6z has good ratings and reviews even on Flipkart,
despite "the known" amount of trolling people in India.
I follow ASUS India on Twitter,
it is just terrible that you are doing there ...

I am facing the same issue and calling does not work unless using a headphone with mic. Indian Retailer Flipkart is not issuing Refund and the only option is Replacement - which given the known manufacturing defects, doesn't improve the situation.

So this is a great phone on paper, but still typical Asus - poorly build, poorly optimized.

Anonymous, 15 Jul 2019Have you tried a different SIM in the phone? Or getting a replacement sim? Yes, tried 4 SIMs, different carriers. My colleague is also facing the same issue. We were very excited when we bought it but now this seems to be the biggest joke =(

Feedback after 2 weeks usage.
The Asus Zenfone 6/6z CANNOT:
1. Make phone calls
2. Take low light photos
3. Focus while shooting in slow motion
4. Last 15 mins of gaming or video without getting unbearably hot (>60 degrees)
5. Get through 1 full day of battery usage on single charge, with day starting at 9am.

Have a sinking feeling of wasted my hard earned money. I am not able to make calls with this device despite getting full network connectivity. Only connects voice calls 2/10 times and when the call is connected I am unable to hear the other person. Disabling Outdoor mode makes no difference at all as all I can hear is noise. I have tried this at different locations (workplace, home, friend's place) before registering a complaint with retailer. Hope I get a refund.
