1. If you use gcam, or open camera or any camera app asi... morecamera wise, the apps send calls such as which lense to use or whether to use front or back mode etc as they would with any other phone. The system responds with its own version of the request. Ex: whatsapp using selfie camera - system initiates camera flip to front. I used gcam on the zenfone 6 to try some of this stuff out in comparison to oem asus camera app and the flipping mechanism is not an issue what so ever. You will not be able to control angle of the lense since gcam and other dont have that programmed into it. Think of it as an api server and the other camera/messaging apps are just sending basic camera commands to it since they wouldnt have access to custom asus commands for the manual angles.
However the only thing I found somewhat alarming was the flip camera would get really hot after like 10min in a whatsapp video call so I hope they did something about that :/

1. If you use gcam, or open camera or any camera app aside from the stock camera app, would you be able to rotate the flip camera to selfie mode? How about controlling the angle of flip camera in any camera app?
2. In theb8/128 version of this non pro model, is the ram lpddr4x or 5?

It doesn't has all the lte bands like oneplus has so you can't can use it anywhere in world & the cost I'm seeing is too much of a jump & should be in the $500-$700 range & display resolution shoulda match one plus & fingerprint on display!

wbpwns, 28 Aug 2020Is there a way to force it into 120hz? Everything is perfect except no jack and only 90hz.The difference between 90hz and 120hz is soooooo minor that you shouldn't have to worry about it

I would buy it if it was cheaper (around 550usd) OR if it had 256GB storage by default like the Pro series. Since I don't really care about the 10% faster SoC and OIS in the camera since I don't use video that often.

B P P, 26 Aug 2020If priced right, this phone can be a success in India . Only non-chinese phone with sd865+You can stop wishing and burst the bubble... All the controversial over the Zenfone 7/Pro series is mostly going to the substantial price increase compare over the previous Zenfone series. Asus phones has never had a huge price different between markets, and where domestically for Asus in Taiwan which historically selling at the most competitive price, and is ready start to sell at the mentioned pricing already an indication.
