Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 debuts with Snapdragon 636, 5,000 mAh battery

Asus is going straight at Xiaomi with its new Flipkart-exclusive Zenfone Max Pro M1. Built around a 6-inch 18:9 IPS LCD and 5,000mAh battery, the Zenfone Max Pro M1 has a dual camera on the back, Snapdragon 636 chipset with either 3GB, 4GB or 6GB of RAM.

The Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 has two camera configurations - 13MP+5MP back and 8MP front combination that will be used in both 3GB and 4GB RAM models. The more premium 6GB RAM units will have 16MP+5MP main and 16MP selfie snappers.

Interestingly, Asus has forsaken its ZenUI in favor of pure Android 8.1 and is promising at least two major OS updates.

As for the huge 5,000mAh battery inside the Zenfone Max Pro M1 - it will come with quick charging support allowing you to fill it up in just 2 and a half hours.

Buyers of the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 will be able to use Dual SIM and expandable storage simultaneously.

The Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 will be a Flipkart exclusive and its first flash sale will be on May 3 - you can register on Flipkart's site.

Price-wise the 3GB/32GB model will go for INR 11,000 (€135), the 4GB/64GB model costs INR 13,000 (€160) and the 6GB/64GB will top out at INR 15,000 (€185).

they ditched the ZenUI? But is it still available for download? The Call Recording function of Asus is the best in the world. It was very helpful tool

Read about Type-C before questioning its merit. I've phones with USB-C ports with accompanying accessories supporting it. A simple Type-B to Type-C adapter doesn't works because of their different electrical specifications. What would it cost to have...

I did my own research, thank you. Did you do yours? If you did, you'd know that 636 and 660 do have some similarities (8 Kryos, 14 nm, made by Qualcomm) and differences. Except for a slower GPU (Adreno 509 vs 512), lower CPU (1.8/1.6 GHz vs 2.2/1...
