The sales assistant kept telling me it has fast charging capability. It's one of the most important aspects I was looking for in a phone. No point providing large capacity if it doesn't charge as fast. 6 hours from 5% to 100%? Sigh. Thinking of selling this phone.

I'm using lenovo vibe p1 same as this phone 5000mah over 2 months already. Better take lenovo vibe p1 as in malaysia the price is RM1059 while this zenfone max is RM859.only add up Rm200 will get
Pros:
-Fast charge: only one hour and a half already full without touch the phone.
-Full HD 1080(401ppi)display over zenfone max only 720P(267ppi)
-Premium aluminium body
-newer chipset using snapdragon 615 with octacore cpu and gpu
-heating issue: although many said snapdragon 615 create heating issue, but lenovo managed to use it without heating at all.except only while charging.it creates little heat and thats normal for all other phone)
-have fingerprint sensor
-speaker is louder than most other smartphones and very good
-have capacitive backlit button and mechanical home button same as samsung/lg with fingerprint
Cons:
-i think camera is better using zenfone than lenovo although both comes up with 13mp/5mp camera
-Zen ui is better than vibe ui
-gorrila glass 4 over gorrila glass 3(vibe p1)

I agree that baterry back up is good but takes a whole night to charge from 5 per cent to 100 per cent. Further no headphone supplied by asus , no flipcover at all what a branded company fails to offer freeibi.

Truth to be told, overall this phone is decent. Will make your life easier. Good camera, check. Long lasting battery, check. Good performance, check. Big storage and decent RAM, check. Good display, check. User experience is satisfying, check. Low price, check. Good connectivity, check.
