rence, 21 May 2016I have an ASUS Max but I just used it for a month, what happened was the touch screen is not r... moreI have MAX and it is just working great with me. A phones performance always depends on the user, so try to switch to Samsung and try to find a Samsung phone that would meet up the quality of a Zenfone Max having the same PRICE. With Specs like of a Zenfone Max phone it will cost you doubled amount if you would like it to be with Samsung. Real Talk !
AnonD-534144, 23 May 2016Plz. Dont buy. asusn zenfone max ..its betry 5000 but processor is only 1Ghz.. too waek........ moreDon't you have a spell checker ? I have a zenfone max and it did a great job
I think you didn't know how to use the phone that's why you're having those issues
Months of usage
-super dupper battery(thanks to 5k mah)
-decent browsing experience experience
-Decent performance in gaming
-rare heating issue(for like 1-2 hours, does not heat up)
-Excellent in multi task(except for third party apps), and it dont get heat up when apps running on background
-decent and satisfying camera performance
-heavy(202grams), and bulky, not suitable for pockets
-sometimes, double tap wake-up wont work
-sometimes hang, freeze, and screen goes black and re-opens
-sometimes it lags
-tends to have a low ram, (600 and below average ,lowest is 100)
-heats up when using cellular data, even when device is turned off
-lagging when there is a third party app while playing(like when playing coc, and multi tasking with messenger)
-sometimes, slow opening of apps
The zenfone max is excellent for moderate users , but not so satisfying when it comes to high end games like a moba game, etc. It can run games smoothly , but not all, cuz i encounter lag when playing games like coc, subway surfers, etc.. but this device can handle moderate games with ease, it also runs smoothly on vainglory(a high graphic game). When internet browsing, it might just satisfy you especially when are using youtube, one thing i hate is that when it freeze, it goes crazy and appears "(app) isnt responding" , which is annoying
Comment: decent performance, best for moderate users like facebook, etc, could do great for moderate gaming, but not so good on high intensive games
Note: supports otg, dual sim, 4g lte, non removable battery
very heating problem ....3g network problem cam is good but insufficient auto focus....but it is good
worst android phone ever used....it should be called "battery with a phone"...... its stock ROM is having so much bloatware (neither movable to SD, nor uninstallable), that makes phone so slow... u will get irritated.. this sluggish response issue was from day of purchase and persisting even after update.. .. my old phone (whose RAM and cost both are half of zenphone max) is still working far better than this phone.. RAM management is so poor, that 2 GB RAM (1.8 GB exactly) is insufficient (out of which free memory is usually 300-400 MB).. ASUS boasts of 16GB internal storage, while available space is not more than 5-6 GBs.
i get this phone i think it will be the best but disappoints me.. it has lots of hanging issue 2 GB RAM is not very useful.. i don't like these phone.. very disappointing
aothxo, 24 May 2016Can I use a fast charger? I mean, a 2A charger to reduce the charging time? Up
great phone for the mid range user who doesn´t value top noch specs. vivid display if finley tuned, feels nice in your hand and batery life is amazing. Great value for mony, my friend is impressed when i recomended this phone.
you won´t regret, and Asus confirmed this one will be upgraded to Marshmallow.

I bought the white variant, recently five days from now. A good smartphone with the high-end specs you tend to see in those common brands in the market to date. The Camera is like a DSLR operational. This is the right smartphone for you at the right reasonable price.

I've had the phone now for almost 3 months and this is what I found out. The battery life is superb, on average in lasted about 3 and a half days for me, powered on all day, WI-FI, mobile data, apps, everything was in use. The max I got out of it is 5 days, which is just absurd for a smart phone. But it is not withouth faults, the speaker is really low volume and not all that great, the GPS signal would sometimes drop out and unable to connect, the brightness sensor acted funny and lastly, I had a LOT of dead pixels on the screen so today I took it in for a repair. Also became really laggy after almost three months, but it is what it is, it wasnt expensive so I cant expect much more from it.
actually, I don't mind the 16GB version (32gb internal aren't that important to me as long as it has expanded microSD card).
the really bummer fact is, zenfone Max is still using HD resolution despite it big screen size (5.5inch) if it were under 5incher it would be fine.
I really like the battery though,
should be perfect to be on the phone.
I'm a travelling a lot I wanna know what settings is best for GPS any suggestions?
