I also updated it, and the battery was affected. Mine is already marshmallow when i bought it, i even checked in on the system thru (CPU-Z application)
My batt lasts 19-21hrs before the update, but after this last update, it only lasts like about 12hrs. But some prob fixed upon doing updates...

It's been 6mos now. And still loving it. The batt lasts for about 19-21hrs (mine) since im always using it. 3days maybe they were referring if you're not using it often. But now, my batt lasts only for about 12hrs, after i update (sad) i want my old batt back... Like 19-21hrs is more cool than 12hrs.

guys I bought this fone 1 month ago and till now it works fine. many of u r facing problems because u had updated ur zenfone max from lollipop to marshmallow but the time I bought it the Asus care said me that now they r giving stable updates and its true. so guys u r only facing these problems because u had updated it in 2016.guys u should have waited for stable marshmallow update.

Guys .. Dont go for this phone, simply waste of money. I've bought this phone 6 months ago..and im having serious troubles with this phone. The main problem is ..it is automatically restarting while gaming. And it is not worth 5000 mAh battery. Battery is responding very rudely nowadays. And it has hang issues..whenever u open ur gallery whether the ROM is full or not it becomes lag.. (nowadays). For the first few months this phone is perfect for me.. but day to day it becomes disgusting.. Dpnt go for this phone guys save money save time

Don't buy this mobile. Because I am using this mobile for 1 year this mobile have problem like battery drain quickly, hanging, music not loud on both speaker and headphones, sometime unable to answer call due to slider not working. Totally waste mobile on this price range. Go for redmi, moto

Been using this phone for over a year now. Yeah, it does hang a lot and restarts every now and then. But my main problem is that since the update to android 6 (you know, we cant transfer apps to our external memory), the internal memory gets filled up easily.
By any chance, would it be possible to expand the internal memory to at least 32 gb? Currently, the memory of my phone is 16 gb

Don't buy this phone my dear friends because this phone is bad and while connecting the net it becomes hang and heat.
