EmAn, 23 Nov 2015Same issue faced by me. Hope that asus will fix this soon :) Usually a flickering blue screen means Motherboard issue. Get it checked before the warranty runs out coz it is a very expensive fix otherwise. Sell the phone if you can.

I have recently purchased one and am very worried about the way the battery has been behaving. It drains even when in sleep mode when aeroplane mode is turned on. The phone has a plethora of battery management apps including one which prevents apps from auto starting, none of which seem to be working. I found the battery management system similar to in Xperia phones but in the Xperia it works very efficiently.
My question is what is the use of a great phone at a great price if it keeps running out of juice and you cannot use it?

The battery in the Zenfone Selfie is nothing to write home about. If someone plays continuous music then my guess is about 6hrs of backup max. My phone drains about 10% every hour with minimum use even when on power saving mode, screen brightness on auto and apps denied permission to auto start up. My S3 gave much better backup when it was new. Now both the S3 (3 year old) and my Zenphone Selfie (2 days old) drain battery at almost the same rate. Also it gets a bit warm around the back camera when on wifi for about 15-20 mins. Don't know if that is a general issue or specific to me handset.

But you can also wipe cache, cache partition in recovery mode of asus selfie. Just turn off your phone. Then long press power button and volume up together atleast t seconds to get into recovery mode.

Wiping partition cache will resolve any conflicts caused by residual cache from the earlier firmware version.Wiping partition cache will not delete your data. However be careful while doing this procedure and do not accidentally select other options that might delete your data. Do not wipe partition cache often.
