AT&T just jumped the gun and officially confirmed the Nokia Lumia 1020 in an official promo video. The promo clips were posted on the carrier's channel and focus on the smartphone's key selling points.
The video highlights some of the Lumia 1020's key features. Among them is the video recording capabilities, where up to 6x lossless zoom (in 720p mode) is available thanks to the 41MP sensor. The video also brags about the high quality of the stereo sound recorded by the WP8 cameraphone, thanks to its wide-dynamic range dual microphones.
Nokia's event is scheduled for today in New York and starts at 11AM EST (3PM GMT). At the rate these leaks are coming though, there might not be much left for the company's CEO Stpehen Elop to announce. We'll be on the spot to bring you an extensive hands-on of the Lumia 1020, so stay tuned.
Update: AT&T eventually took the videos down, but luckily Engadget snatched a copy of them. You can watch all three of them below.
did you read the article? it clearly is a cameraphone with a twist for web browsing! this is unheard of for a 41 mp camera phone to be in shelves of a cel carrier or provider. I'm sure customers will be curiois about it.
