CES 2013 AT&T Panech Android Touch UI

Pantech Discover is the latest addition to AT&T's portfolio. It boasts a solid mid-range specs sheet and costs just $49.99 on a contract.

The Pantech Discover features a 4.8" 720p display and runs on a dual-core 1.5GHz Krait processor with Adreno 225 graphics.

The Discover also sports a 12.6MP camera with 1080p video recording, 16 gigs of internal storage expandable via a microSD card slot, and all the connectivity you may need - LTE, HSPA+, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and NFC.

The smartphone runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with custom user interface from Pantech. It's unclear if Pantech plans to update it to Jelly Bean in the near future.

Anyway, the phone costs just $49.99 with an AT&T contract and will hit the retail stores on January 11. It might be worth checking it out.

Ikr. I have also heard many things about burst. For the price it is a killer. Never used one though.

Pantech phones may be a bit on the ugly side, but their performance is actually surprising. I own a burst and can say that for the price you pay the specs are really good.
