HTC Android AT&T CES 2011

The avalanche of announcements of 4G phones is gaining more speed as CES 2011 officially starts today. AT&T didn’t waste any time and lifted the curtains on the new HTC Inspire 4G. They've also got a second HTC phone, the HTC Freestyle, though it's hardly as fast or as smart as the Inspire 4G.

The Inspire 4G is quite similar to the HTC Desire HD. Both devices run Android 2.2 with the latest version of the Sense UI. Under the hood you’ll find a the same 1Ghz processor and 768MB of RAM as in the Desire HD with the difference being the newly added 4GB of internal storage (still expandable with the MicroSD card slot). The touchscreen is the SuperLCD variety with the same size of 4.3”. As connectivity goes, the Inspire 4G offers 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1 and a GPS receiver with A-GPS.

And in other non-4G news, AT&T US also announced the HTC Freestyle, which is running on the Brew mobile platform. It packs a not so exciting 3.2” capacitive touch screen and supports cards up to 32GB.
