LG's latest flagship smartphone - the G4 can now be purchased from Carphone Warehouse in the UK. The company has listed a total of three color variants - a silver plastic one, a brown leather one and a black leather option, which, at the moment, is exclusive for the retailer.
Interestingly enough, all three variants can be picked up on contract for as low as £35 from Vodafone, with no apparent markup for the leather models. Normally, the more-premium back should cost about £30 more in the total price.
Speaking of which, also quite inexplicably, only the brown leather variant can currently be purchased from the vendor SIM free. The price is set at £519.99, which coincides with what we saw in pre-orders and is still slightly below the Galaxy S6, which retails for about £560.
As you may know, the G4 is LG's flagship offering for this year. It comes with a 5.5-inch QHD screen, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chipset, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, a 16 MP rear camera with optical image stabilization and LED flash, an 8 MP selfie snapper, and a 3,000 mAh battery. For crying out loud just buy any colour and buy the back colour you want off ebay.. All it is ,is a back cover thats is it so there is no exclusive to any shop or network.
If that is the case, and you can only buy the black leather option at CW, then the G4 is definitely out of the question for me. Carphone Warehouse is one of the worst companies you could ever deal with. Their customer services make you wonder if being...
