can any1 helpme on this....i still cannot set mp3' s in my bb as my ringtone.is there a special software to do that or wht.
I've been using the 7130g for a year now and i am ADDICTED!! The handheld is brilliant. Even without all your fancy multimedia functions like mp3's, a camera or videos, this BB still kicks ass. One downer about the handheld though is that unless you have your Blackberry services activated with your network operator, the handheld cannot be used for anything gprs. It would only function as a regular mobile phone. Apart from that, it simply rocks.
I am using the device. When using bluetooth, u need to pair the devices by switching the BT on. Once done, go to the media option and then select receive or send using bluetooth. Normally the pairing password is 0000. once this has been done, the file can be transferred very easily.
The bluetooth can used only if you want to receive some files,u should select "receive form bluetooth" when browse files.
I have a blackberry 7130g mobile, but the blue tooth is not working properly, the mobile is not connected with other bluetooth enabled mobile, mms is not working, gprs is not working, it is not connected with PC after installing CD. the features of the phone are very poor, the price is too high than the features of the phone. I donot like it. any one guide me to use bluetooth properly.
Please advise this phone is value for money ? is bluetooth properly working with the other phones ?

i am facing problem with this phone.
hello every body who love this phone, must answer my question.
i am facing problem regarding sending sms, does this mobile workes on selected networks?
i live in karachi pakistan and using service of ufone.
i really like this phone.. the user interface is intuative and the lack of camera is negligable when u consider that this is a business phone... the qwerty gets a bit of getting used to so the lack of touch screen is the only bad thing i can say
It is hard to use the phone...and i am mad that don't have camera, radio, and card sold. in rest, is ok, i like the design, and is a good organizer.
Can this phone be compared with Nokia 9Series or even E series... no Card Slot No OS, No Wi-Fi, No Fax option ... i'm not a grungy nokia user but for a business man a fax is needed and memory
First of all, buyers of this phone should be aware that this is a business phone and not an all-in-one device. If you're looking for something that you can use to while away the time, buy a psp instead or a digital camera if your big into photography. That said, I'll go into details why I "LOVE" my newly acquired BlackBerry 7130g!
First off would be the design, construction and weight. The design and dimension is similar to that of the nokia 3230 which is what I like about it. Not too big (like most previous generation pocket pcs) and not too small. The construction, although not made of metal, is solid and will definitely last you a couple of year given that you take good care of it. The weight as well is excellent. You'll always know that it's there. I've owned several lightweight phones but I tend to lose them. But this one, I always feel it tugging at my pockets.
Secondly, the user interface. Though confusing for first time users like me, is a breeze once you get the hang of it. The trackwheel gets you where you want to go and the menu is terrific. The default themes are really good and the screen resolution and brightness is a lot better than phones with similar spec'd screens. One thing I think that needs a bit of work done would be uploading/transferring of files from the PC to the BB. It can get a bit complicated at times and sometimes, I'm wishing that this was a windows based phone wherein drag and drop would do. Oh well, we can't have all the good stuff can we?
All the basic business stuff are there, push email, calendar, task, calculator, internet (via wap) etc. A real businessman's buddy if you ask me.
Another gripe. it could've been better with a faster processor but that's just me. I'm sort of a speed freak!
Overall, this phone rocks! Turns people's heads form time to time too. I love my BlackBerry and I hope you guys love yours too!
I’ve been a fan of SE and Nokia for long before I switched to WM 5.0 devices for the push mail features it offered. I was scared to touch blackberry because the earlier devices felt like a slice of Brown bread to your ear if you used it as a phone. But the new generation like 7130g is fantastic. Typing using Suretype technology is fantastic. T9 pales in comparison. And if you use the Autotext effectively, texting is a breeze. No other phone can even come near suretype for texting. I have used the E series of Nokia for blackberry and I must admit they were good especially the E61 with its big screen and WiFi. But after using BB’s own device 7130g for BIS, I must admit that it is a class of it’s own from the BB-enabled devices. The keypad is great, the screen is good. The speaker phone clarity is astounding. I like the fact that when you put it in the holster it goes into standby mode saving on battery life. Battery life is good. Click wheel based menu system is so easy to use albeit I will say it is not a one-handed phone. Bluetooth data transfer is not so easy as in other Nokia or SE phones. Missing camera is not such a big thing on business phones and it is better than leaving it in the front desks of most offices due to security reasons.
I wish BB offers WiFi on all its phones soon. And having a music player on phones is not a crime even for business men (BB Pearl has it though). All work and no play……..
Following is my wishlist for BB phones:
• Full fledged Bluetooth
• Unlocked phones (meaning we could use it with any service provider as a general phone and not just for BB since SMS texting has increased tremendously)
• POP3 multiple mail access
• General Browser and not just pushed one
• More 3rd party software
