Don't buy 9720 mine didn't last even a year battery point had 2 fix it 3times already
This thing about the 'phone switching itself off, a lot of people have commented. Mine never does it. What I think, is that you have it set, or it is set by default to automatic turn off. If this is the case, you need to go to options [the spanner icon], then select device from the list and then the top option "Auto On/Off". Uncheck this box and your phone won't switch itself of at certain times.
Yindy, 13 Aug 2015Sorry. No Skype on BB9720Blackberry 9720 its the worst phone I've ever owned I had to repair the charging port 4 times from different people within a period of a year even now its broken Nxa! Waste of money Rubbish phone yall plz don't buy it

I have been using BB9720 for the past 3year now, the only problem I discovered was, it hang and switch off by itself. But not every time. Have change the ear pies once. And am still using it. The charging point still working fine. Posted on 22 Oct 2015
I have bought three of these models (9720) for my children and they had the same problem; they stopped charging and I was told the problem was the charging port. This happened within the first year of purchase in the first two phones and they were both replaced. The current happened after about fifteen months from the purchase date. I have been quoted a little above R1450 to fix this problem. Why am I getting this problem from my blackberry phones? We handle them according to the instructions on the user manual and this also includes the charging of the phones. Are these phones having this particular problem or is it the way we use them? Any ideas?
the most annoying phone ever the charging breaks so easily and the manufacturer refuses to fix it yet its there faulty feels like im paying for nothing
By far the worst phone I've ever had! It was given to me by my employer but I've been deeply disappointed. Battery doesn't last as long as the manufacturer claims (especially when you send/receive emails), the screen is tiny and will give you eye sight problems soon after you start trying to read emails, internet processor is totally retarded, switches on/off at random times. Simply, a terrible phone.
hi i am from estonia and i wish to buy this phone but wich langugages it has inside please help me on that
This is by far the best Blackberry Ive used. For me, Blackberery has always been an aspirational product I used to see with my bosses. Later on, I could afford them myself and this was the 3rd one. Some days back, I used the Classic but had to return to this within 45 days. The plus points: Very simple to use, easy to edit documents and long e-mails; very intuitive; all media files are nicely placed under one media folder (unlike the complicated process in Classic where there are too many folders/subfolders where the files gets saved, making searching a time consuming process) whereas in this one, its all in one place by type (music, pictures, documents, videos likewise). This phone is also handy due to it's optimum screen and overall phone size (not too small to strain the eyes while viewing screen not too large to not accomodate the pocket snugly). What I also like about this phone is it's LED indicator located on the top right side of the phone which notifies with it's red colour else is is constantly blinking (if that option is selected) which is very reassuring when on silent mode. While the Classic is really great phone in terms of build quality, looks, fantabulous soft keyboard, features and functionality I believe it wasnt suitable for me at this point in time. I also think the Classic is way too expensive for all it is. That apart, the Blackberry Hub has been hyped way too much. I therefore returned the4 old faithful 9720. This phone does look and feel plasticky but packs in a punch in terms of form and functionality both. Thanks and regards................
Mine just started to switch off when I use camera then I changed battery,it get back to working hard and properly, thanks to blackberry
i use a 9720. basically its a nice phone. but it keeps going off on particular dates and i know its a setting on the phone. i just dont know how to change. what kind of phone has a deliberate date for switching off anyways?
I have a 9720 blackberry I'm still using, along with the BlackBerry passport I just bought. The 9720 BlackBerry is operating very perfectly since I bought it and I cannot be tempted to let it go yet.
this is the worse phone i had to repair the charging port like 4 times since i bort which is only 7 months ago it switches off by itself battery drains even thou im not even using it switches off when i take a picture. rubbish horrible phone. slow as hell. freezes all the time. reboots always .
Anonymous, 27 Nov 2014It's a great phone. Buy it without a doubt.I have 9720 for work and an iPhone 6 for personal use - absolutely no comparison the blackberry is proper rubbish. I told work I'd rather use my own phone and pay but they won't let me. The lock button doesn't work and the swipe doesn't work and my colleagues feel the same and have same issues. Avoid at all cats. Plus the silly little keyboard and minute screen - rubbish.
Typed on iPhone of course.
this is the worse blackberry i have ever had . It is unreliable on calls , takes pictures of my pocket even when locked , starts playing music randomly . avoid at all costs .... companies who provide these to their staff are only wasting their time and increasing their frustrations
i love this phone, with its BIS and keyboard... best blackberry phone with BBOS 7
This fone is so horrible.pls dnt try buying it.av had it for just six months.the charging point has spoilt twice.just yesterday the touch screen stopped working.
