Iphone - not a smart phone
BB - half a smart phone
HTC / any WM device - full on smart phone and non restricted

There is an application on the crackberry app store or bb app store that is supposed to allow on line gps. I think you have to find and load the maps in yourself though?

Yes it's a 'good' phone. It's not the best and it doesn't pretend to be. If your needs are simply business and you not a poorper (i.e. don't mind paying for stuff), then this is the best phone for you but everyone has different needs.

i think blackberry typically targets on people who is really more on business people.. they did not really concentrate with on cam..Regarding on the specs in terms of the internal applications of the blackberry phone they are really very fine..regardless that they are using the fastest wap applications in phone (which is HSDPA or High speed downlink application) via internet but also in depends on the network provider ryt!!!!
Mabuhay and good luck in choosing a phone...if you have questions just post it!!!!!

In the other hand HTC is the best for offline turn by turn gps..iphone has the but it's only one program..Htc has great varriety..
Htc,except the gps and the office factor ,has nothing else very attractive to me..
Iphone is good,it has a lot of storage space big screen, but it is more a fun-phone..it is no so good for office and pdfs, and medium quality offline gps capabilities
So i am v troubled i don't know what to choose! If only bold had a free or cracked offline GPS program!!!

HTC is ther most versatile and there is more available for them (wm is my prefered platform).

Blackberry is hands down the winner for quick and easy communication.

I disagree with the screen comment though as for sunlight legability the blackberry bold wins hands down but the htc has the better resolution.

In my honest opinion a iphone is for people that like to think they are using the best thing ever but have only ever used 'dumb phones' in the past (i.e. nokia s40 platform).

I have one question,id'like u to help me :)
I want a smartphone...And i cannot decide between bold,iphone 3gs and htc diamond 2.I am inetrested in:
-Storage space(Iphone wins here..)
-Quality of the materials the device is made(I think blackberry wins here)
-Gps Ability(Htc wins here, because there are al lot of cracked programms for this job in winmobile)
-Office and pdf(Htc and blackberry wins here)
-Screen(iphone 3gs wins here)
What would you choose if u were interested in these 5 things?Tnx for help!

It's more versitile but the processor is slow and why bother about the cams on phones. All phones cams are designed for quick snap shot images. If your going somewhere you know your gonna want to take an picture take a digital camera. Even the best cam on a phone at present still does not compare to a dedicate digital camera.

Stelios, 18 Jun 2009Can we use GPS navigation, without internet connection(Just like a normal gps device)?Garmin is supposed to be available for it but this will be a sale only application. I do not know the ins and outs of it but would assume Garmin would supply maps when the application is bought (i.e. you'd have to but the maps as well for different areas).

bold is the best. I love everything about it. One thing that is not very good is the battery. I know all smartphones' battery lifetime is last only one day so i can't say much about it. The browser and everything else is perfect and amazing. 5 stars for this phone.
