BlackBerry Bold 9000 - user opinions and reviews

Hello,
I have to buy either E90 or Blackberry Bold. I am leaning towards Blackberry due to its size. Has anyone tried both and can help decide? Only thing missing in Blackberry Bold seems to be the radio. I believe there are now third party tools that will enable editing excel files, using skype etc. on Blackberry? Do either of these phones sync with the subfolders in address book? Any help/information will be appreciated. Thanks

I have the bold and its the best handset that I have every owned and I work in the UK for a mobile phone company!

I have discovered the same problem sincronizing it via data cable. Then I downloaded free softwere from blackberry.com and reinstalled it. It seemed the softwere on CD to be an old version all something like that. Now everything is working perfectly.

I've own this device for 3 months.
Pros:weak battery life time-with full charge,about 20 min of talk time a day,2 SMS it lasts for approximately 75 hours not a 320 h that blackberry states; poor camera quality for it's 2mpx and flash...;if you are going to travel a lot and have an unlocked device you may have a difficulties with the coverage abroad with a local SIM card.
I cannot argue about the voice quality and Blackberry message service.I believe that it is one of the leaders !
Anyway I dont think that the Bold is worth to spend $600 (without a contract).

Hi All
I've recently taken the big step and got my first BB.
Albeit very frustrating there seems to be a lot of potential.
One frustration is the Sync with my PC. This takes a good 5 minutes and 9 times out of 10 it gets this error "unable to read application data".
Any idea why this is? (I sync with bluetooth)

Anonymous, 13 Feb 2009i just got this yest but hav no idea how to use the gps You must have a data plan and then subscribe to the GSP service in order to use GSP on the BB bold 9000. At least here in Canada.

In Malaysia, BB Bold 9000 is consider new since storm are not in the market yet. But what i found after using it for a month is this phone is better of than the other series. All the features are good especially the BB messenger. Reliable and worth to buy. I bought for only RM 1500.
But the leather casing are suck.. they call it 'Stylish Casing??" its more like a kids coin wallet...

hi all. may i know if anyone that has this phone has rusting issues ? theres one small metal part below the camera button, on both sides of the phones. my bold has rust on that part ):
