Blackberry is Business
For all those who don't understand what a blackberry is: It's a business oriented device to allow seamless communication between business partners. You see this thing in action you will understand what I mean.
The WI-FI is used for LAN connectivity to a network or intranet. The BB really is an extension of the bosses laptop that helps him to read and write e-mail on the go.
It is acceptable in most meetings to use a blackberry, as where it is not to use a mobile.
Fine line: Business = Blackberry, Mobile = Private.
Or so it is perceived.
I must agree, this is a sexy looking Blackberry (never thought I'd say this)!
The screen resolutions is adequate and even though the size is smaller, the picture quality should be way better than the i-Phone.
Nice work! This will be a total hit in Japan!
finally BB release a phone with 3G! Shame that they only have a fat version at the moment.
to the people who say blackberry's are a waste of space....
Did you know that BlackBerry use a unique system of compressing internet data so you can view webpages and emails faster? They are not just a buisness phone! They are great for anyone who likes to browse teh interwebz, and now that they are 3G they will be super fast!
nice but why do they stick to the 65000 colours, please upgrade the colours please, nokia puts 16 million colours in his phones
624 MHz processor? This bad boy is faster than the HTC Touch Diamond...which is what I want. Nevertheless, I still think this will be one of the best sellers for Blackberry!
it's super device
screen looks a bit small.
Another waste of time Gadget.. get a Nokia, Blackberry is just an expensive service that. Think about it do you really need it!!! the Operator loves it...but what is it for you as consumer.
No Skype, no fring no darn IM really.. No video , no voip... nothing
@LaW, motorola does have a 3mp camera now and they're going to be announcing their 5mp camera soon.
What is the purpose of WIFI on blackberry when you really cannot use it for nothing!!!!
there is some comparison with the nokia n95, in processor or functions????
cameraless phone is Required if your working at an organization that has corporate secrets.
So basically it's a Motorola Q9 look-a-like and first BB with HSDPA which Motorola had last year already...
Q9 is still better with better keyboard and shortcut keys to email, calendar, camera, browser, ...
The Phone will NOT be touchscreen, RIM has stated while they will be releasing a Touchscreen Blackberry in the future, They wanted the 9000 (Bold) to have the keyboard they users knew and charished. It should be available in June or so, around 300-400$ Im not sure if that's unlocked, or under a contract with a carrier. They haven't announced carriers yet, but I suspect they will soon.
2mp ? 3mp ? 5mp ? WTF, 2mp is enough for mobile phones for random shots if you want good camera get a god damn Panasonic Lumix Digital Camera then, no matter how many Megapix you squeeze in the quality with be ugly compared to proper CCD power Digital Cameras, come on cameras on phones are supposedly for Random shots not Professional Photography, man.
i am impressed, cann't wait to buy, when would it be available to perchase?
I love blackberry, but in brazil they're SOOOO EXPENSIVE. because of this, i've bought a SE K850, wich is a great phone either.
Excellent. I have never been a fan of RIM smartphones and I have always thougt that Blackberrys are overrated, but this very phone proved me wrong.
Go RIM !
Love the look! When will it be available in South Africa?
this is for the one that calls himself LAW... your way back dated mate... n95 is old now, maybe its u that needs to get with the time... i can give you 100 phones that are much better than that brick of a phone.....
