Hi BB users. i have no idea of the BB ecosystem. But someone has offered me this phone for 100 USD and there are really good internet bundles for BB here in Tanzania(unlimited internet for USD 25). I only need to be sure of one thing before i step into this ecosystem(i apologise if this seems like a stupid question): Can i connect my BB 9000 to my macbook or any other laptop and tether to the internet connection of the handset and how?
I'd really appreciate if anyone is kind enough to confirm or deny this even if it seems trivial.

The Balckberry curve 8520 is way better! The only thing good about the Bold is that it's 3G compatible, other than that, they're both pretty similiar function-wise.

I bought this BB as second hand from the shop & it was registered before,by the last owner with a data plan but terminated.When I tried to use free wifi at hot spot,it blocked & asked me to contact service provider.All other BB applications,like BB maps,Office etc needed that I must subscribe to a data plan first.I returned the BB the next day as this device controls you to use its features & you don't have freedom of choice.

ray, 06 Jan 2011can nokia sent stuff via bluetooth to blackberry .... because i dont seem to get it rightyou can send from nokia to bb via b/tooth, just go to the menu (while in media) and click on receive using b/tooth.

I cant hear when i put on speaker as volume is too low and adjusting button is not activating. the test music is also on mute and cant hear at all. the recption of the line ha salso become very poor for both the receiver and caller. whats the problem with my BB Bold 9000
