Febboy, 15 May 2010Oops! missed this qstn If i'm currently using OS5, will i able to upgrade my device to OS 6... moreA lot of people complained about battery life on older OS versions, so you might have a great battery life but not sure how much better/worse it is than a Nokia e63. Blackberry App World isn't available in all countries so you might need to check that out first, and a lot of apps are available for free but I think Symbian S60 has way more apps available. And Facebook app, as well as App World, runs on BIS servers so you'll need a Blackberry internet plan. BIS would be required for push email, social networking, BBM and other IM/chat clients. There are a few apps that run on wifi (eBuddy, Nimbuzz, UberTwitter, etc) so you can do a few things through wifi but you won't be getting instant updates and notifications for them, you'll have to log onto a wifi network everytime. I highly recommend getting a BB plan if your purchase a BB.

If i'm currently using OS5, will i able to upgrade my device to OS 6 in future?
I live in india and i'm currently using Nokia E63 for almost for a year. Now i'm planning to migrate to Bold9000. I would like to know few details b
1) How is the battery back up compared to Nokia
2) Through nokia ovi store nokia provide wide range of apps for free, hw about BB apps world?
3) To access Facebook application from Bold 9000 do i need Blackberry internet services activated OR will i be able to access through GPRS connection?
Appreciate your help
Just a quickie. Am trying to transfer my contacts from BB to Handsfree in Care via bluetooth, no probs there going through the procedure but the problem is a msg comes up "unable to locate object push server" can anyone advise ?
George, 12 May 2010Yes I do have BIS and Data plan. What else could be the reason? Please help! Thanks for your ... moreYou should've had it push to you already if you activated BIs on your phone. Which country are you from? App World might not be available where you live, unless you live in a country where App World is available. Contact your carrier for more assistence.
The only thing I can think of is to update your device to the latest OS and that's it.
This is the best BB device I've used so far :D OS4.6 is pure and very stable, unlike OS 5, it makes the Bold 9000 a dummy
JRF, 12 May 2010Do you have BIS? If you don't you won't be able to download it.Yes I do have BIS and Data plan. What else could be the reason? Please help! Thanks for your time JRF
