I'm currently using the HTC Ty Tyn 2 and has the Blackberry software. Is this Bold 9000 better than the HTC? I'm very much frustrated with the Ty Tyn 2 phone as it freezes a lot!! Any response will be highly appreciated..

is a very good phone. my friend has convinced me to try and get one. used to be anti blackberry but now decided to attempt to become a sheep and join the blackberry herd.
very loud phone. very practical phone and decent battery life.

Screen brightness is totally adjustable but a normal screen is cool however bright it is. Battery standby is 13 days and talk time is 4 - 5 hours.

There are two awesome minispeakers at the back which sound out of two small slits. So don't worry about sound. The quality is excellent and certainly loud enough. Headphones work fine but the BB handsfree kit is not as good as Nokia's. The earphones try to block out all external sounds and the mic is too directional.

Bought my Blackberry Bold yesterday and I LOVE IT!
Got the internet sorted out with the blackberry service and its pure bliss!.. facebook notifications, emails all being pushed right to my phone like sms's ITS AMAZING! even the bbm instant messenger.. other than that the size, shape and looks of the phone are so god damn sexy!.. love this phone to bits, best phone ive bought in a very very long time :)

OK....I have used both the bold and the 8900 curve and to be brutally honest they are in two separate class...is like comparing a suv and a car. The bold is obviously still the current top end phone for rim gps, 3g, faster processor, more on board memory etc. These really limits the capabilities of the curve as compared to the bold. Not to mention the bold looks a whole lot better. I really doubt even the 8520 will come close. Plus we got a new bold coming the 9700 cant wait to get my hands on that.

I am absolutely loving my new BB9000 and have no regrets, apart from the BB help site, which is useless. Most of the extras there are not compatible with BB9000 so getting new themes are impossible, could somebody help me there...
Unfortunately the battery doesn't last that long and takes quite long to recharge, maybe because i use it so much.. HAHA

You need this especially for Maps (i.e. GPS Location), Navigation and the Web. Nothing is worse than waiting an age while something loads up, right? The BB 9000 processor is also much faster than that in the BB 8900. The BB 8900 does have a slightly longer screen and a better camera (3MP vs. 2MP) but most of us have ultra snazzy 10MP pocket cameras now. For the BB 9000 everything is 'out the top drawer' and the design is so cool, and for a just little extra. So why not?
