patpat, 19 Aug 2009is it true that internet and email sending is free wen u use BBBold???Indeed if you live in UK,EU,US,India etc. With monthly plan of bb e mail and unlimited internet. But there is fair usage policy though. Hope this helped.

Hi Guys,
I'm hoping to get a BOLD. Just wondering how long would the battery life last with 3 hours of bluetooth, may be 1 hours of surfing and office calls during a normal work day? i could ive with chargin everynight. my worry is will it die before i go to sleep? thanks.

i need help with my new BB bold, i bought it and i can't find the blackberry maps a... moreHi hassan,ur not supposed to download a version 4.2.... firmware.That's so old skul.what u ought to download is version 4.6.2 and so on or 4.6.0.2 and some more digits...in the bb world its called 4.2...
It could be 4.6.0.244 or 4.6.244
Or 4.6.0.288...it all depends on the carrier.
Do search online their are tonsof sites with free links and the procedure to update ur firmware...if u still can get the map then do download a 3rd party map app...dat will definitely work...hav fun -"Sent From My Blackberry Bold"

Truth b told..the bold is in an entirely differrrent league cmpared to the n or e71...cnt knw where to strt the comparism so I'll just say in every way..the only thing they have in common are the qwerty keyboard n the 1500mah batt...stop thinking...go for the bold

Hello if you are a internet user this phone is worthless. Had this phone 4 a cople of days couldnt take the slow internet. E71 is a way better phone.

Ansh,wats up?about d pics formats..I drop mine straight from my digi cam to my bold using my lappy..its accepted and viewed al formats so far...d only format iv had problems viewing are the .gif i.e mainly animated pics...
Every1 check out d new frmware.its version 4.2.. I'm tryn 2 download it now...heard it comes with the blackberry app world which has lots of cool free apps.do check it out...-"Sent From My Blackberry Bold"

Can we browse the net wıth 3G by connecting BOLD to my laptop like using the BOLD as a 3G modem? If so ıs this connection over BT or cable?

I'm a user that studies all phone specs in some serious detail and lately I've had a Nokia E71 as well as a range of Sony Ericcson's including all the P series phones. I have been reviewing various features of the BB Bold 9000 and must admit that I was a bit sceptical on the size and the fact that it only has a 2 megapixel camera. Irrespective I purchased the unit two weeks ago and must admit that this is absolutely the best phone ever!
Pro's:
- fantastic email funtionality
- fantastic funtionality and build quality
- great camera definitely better than that of E71 even though its lower in pixels
- fantastic keyboard especially for gents
- fantastic screen quality and great size
- overall definitely recommendable
Cons:
- bad desktop software as it constantly freezes up
- no option on desktop package to use as modem
- can't set up email signature on phone and with desktop software couldn't change this as yet
Verdict:
- well done BB just sort your software issues out as that is basics!
