Now I don't know which country you're from I'm from India and I see this site gsmallover.com which is a US site and listed price of Bold 9700 is $430 for the unlocked version as I wish to bring it back home. It seems that its less than whats listed on amazon, I just want to know if this site is trusted? I saw the add here on gsmarena itself... I know its sounds foolish but a person not from this country have no clue whatsoever. Will really appreciate opinions of others regarding this site. Thanks again!
tangyorangesour, 17 May 2010Thank you JRF. I'm planning to buy my first BB so it helps immensely.

The Blackberry comes with a free version of DocsToGo but it doesn't allow you to create new docs or view PDFs. The Email client, allows you to view PDFs within the emails themselves but not from your memory card.
And BBs have the regular apps available. Not sure what you'd need, but to me it's the same as my old n85. The only "problem" is that most apps like BlackBerry Messenger and Facebook need a BIS plan to work. If you use a regular data plan you'll get errors saying your device isn't compatible or it doesn't meet the requirements. With nokia you can use almost everything via wifi or a regular data plan. In my country both data plans cost the same, so a BIS data plan isn't a big deal to me. Other's say it costs more, so investigate a bit before purchasing.

I've been fairly a Nokia user and the large software base of symbian has more or less met my needs. So correct me if I'm wrong, if I to do anything with BB I have to buy most of the software or is anything not pre-installed with the device I buy?

Hello,
I was wondering if there is a pdf viewer for files saved on the media card. I'm well aware of the email attachment being read natively by BB OS.
If there isn't one, is there any freeware available or only the commercial version like BeamReader and alike.
Thanks.
@ Esraa, please install Google Sync in your phones, sync your contacts with your gmail account and whenever you change your phone, simply sync your contacts in your new mobile and you will get back all your contacts. Now no need to worry about losing your contacts. Simply make a gmail account, install google sync in your mobile and keep syncing your contacts, calander etc :) cheer

hi all, plz i need help.
why i cant receive text(msj) in messenger?
i can send, but can receive.
plz can someone help?
Copy and paste behaviour is ONE selection text at a time. Regarding opening PDF, this is only accessible only via your email as attachments. If you have PDF files store on memory card (i.e. outside email attachments), you'll need to use an external program to access PDF files. Regarding porting contacts/calendar/notes from Nokia, always use Outlook to do it.
