is it wise for me to trade in my n97 for the blackberry 9000 bold?? someone please help me please..
I've had 4 blackberries my entire life and clearly this is the one i enjoy the most. bold 9700 for the win!
Hardly any difference between 9000 and 9700. What was the point? I would have expected some CPU advances. Seems like the only hardware component really improved was the camera...and the phone is squarely aimed at business users...who tend to be the least interested in taking photos.
Bit of a duff overall.
I briefly had a 9000 Bold on trial and was amazed at how the phone performed compared to previous HTC Magic, google phone etc. The 9700 is even better, slightly smaller without losing keyboard definition. 10/10 rating from a business user. Only negative - why on earth did they change the charger fitting from the 9000 apart from the obvious.
Best Blackberry or any phone i owen before. I love the BB 9700. Everythign is right about this phone. I do owen 4 Phones and I love 9700 Best. I have BB Storm 2, Iphone, Nokia E72. The 9700 is the best.
To Anonymous below,
Why would you be worried about touching the screen of the 9700 anyways? It is not a touch-screen to begin with. Perhaps you are confused. 2.44" is plenty big enough for viewing only.
BB LOVER, 20 Nov 2009does anyone know if i would b able to watch bbc iplayer in the uk on this phone.. im waiting f... moreI think you might be better off with storm2 because it has bigger screen. After playing around with 9700 for a few minutes, i feel the 2.44in touchscreen is too small for my finger.
Bewildered O2 Custom, 19 Nov 2009O2 UK are really taking the piss. No offence to T-Mobile, but I'm just a bit shocked that T-Mo... moreI think o2 UK are concentrating on the I-phone & the Palm Pre above the BB. If I was a BB rep i'd be trying to get it in anywhere other than o2 at the mo as there is less competition to sell handsets. Even the Pre doesn't seem to of taken off as much as hoped which must be hard for Palm to take, esp if o2 have exclusivity. Hence why the BB storm is aledgedly getting a cross network release after a short exclusive run on Vodafone (as they are getting the I-phone too)
i have been a nokia user for 15 years and got the E72 but i was dissapointed. Too many small problems with e-mail and bluetooth. Got the bb9700 which is my very 1st blackberry and i was astonished to see how much better it is than a Nokia. Super fast e-mail, clarity on the screen just kills the E72 which seems dull. I wouldnt go back to nokia now.
Why would you buy one of these handsets if you wanted to listen to music etc... These handsets are designed for business people to easily manage their business. It's like an office in your pocket so you can access majority of your business when your outside of the office. If you're looking to buy one of these handsets just for everyday personal use, it's a waste go buy something cheap and symbian or jump on the iphone bandwagon like everyone else...
does anyone know if i would b able to watch bbc iplayer in the uk on this phone.. im waiting for this phone to come out on orange does anyone have a date for this too? im stuck between tis and the storm 2????HEELLLP
just got it as a Company mobile two weeks ago...It's my first BB ever and I think it ROCKS - BB RULES !!! WORTH THE MONEY...
I received my 9700(AT&T) two days ago and I'm loving every minute of it!! LoL So light in weight sometimes i forgot I have the phone in my pocket when I carry sometimes! But the phone is amazing! Definitely the biggest difference from my Bold 9000 to the 9700 is the size but that's adjustment that I can transition to with no problem.
asb, 20 Nov 2009hey blackberry wake up!!!!!!!!! you have to complete your specifications on this phone, where ... moreit looks like that you need camera config like Asian people .. you are really a funny hole. really does not know why are use the use to have BB?
Anonymous, 20 Nov 2009wht kinda ppl use BB? cause am looking for listening music and browsing and mainly easy messag... moreblackberry is a good phone and people who use blackberrys know what they want in a phone besides blackberry was never made for listening to music its for business purposes.
Just got my Bold 2. Thought I was going mad until I realised that the z and y keys were transposed. Apart from that it is to small compared to the 9000 Bold...its on its way back to the dealer. 9000 is better if emails are a priority....no contest.
Thanks for your feedbacks, much appricated! I will wait for the 9700 if and when it comes out!! lol
