ndbx2006, 26 Oct 2009WOW... great looking phone!!! oh wait a minute!!! they downsized internal memory from 1g to 25... moreClearly you don't know how to read the specs properly.
The onboard memory remains the same as the 9000, which is 1gb of storage. The RAM is double from the 9000 and is now 256mb. The 9000 has 128mb of RAM.
So let's get this clear guys, RAM and onboard memory are different. RAM = 256MB, INTERNAL MEMORY = 1GB.
What the hell RIM is thinking every specs seems to be ok. RIM always been behind on integrated memory at least they had 1gb on the BOLD 9000, and they have downgrade it to 256mb come on even psp go 16gb. on board memory has a faster access the media files. RIM should add at least 2gb of app memory, 16gb of user memory and a micro sd card slot as well that will be great...
HI guys need y'll help! i just use my ph for msging, calls and music basically. Just wondering shuld i go for this or NOkia E72??? pLs someone?? THnaks.

your inputs would be of great help
this piece of work has very low processor speed.
no secondary camera .. Better to wait for something good from BB
Had my BB Storm2 for 2 days now from Vodafone.
Also BB Bold2 is available for pre-order and will be released on 28th OCT.
I wonder why would any network release two BB (mind you high end two BB) in a week ?
Harvard, 26 Oct 2009This is the next big thing for Blackberry although taking away the trackball wasn't necessary.... moreU don't even need to bring in the word "iphone" into BB's page. It's disgusting and disrespectful. BB rules.
This is the next big thing for Blackberry although taking away the trackball wasn't necessary. Blackberry will always be better than Iphone.
And now with 9700, BB have shrunk the screen (the only thing i loved in 9000 compared to E71)..sigh!, u can always do everything 9700 offers plus more with others ..
I've used BB 9000 and E71, but trust me except for the pixel packed screen of 9000. E71 shines in almost every aspect (specially if u consider functionality, 3rd party apps and size)...
I should say with E71 nokia beats BB in their own game

I can't wait for the 9700 to drop! Once you go blackberry, there is no going back!!!
the trackball's physical mechanism will always be prone to breakage and wear.
I personally like the trackpad
Anonymous, 24 Oct 2009Anyone know when this phone will be coming to singapore?Dude, guess you will have to wait till the Curve 8520 to be released by Singtel, M1, Starhub etc before the Bold 9700. So far Blackberry had only confirmed that the Curve 8520 will be release by all 3 telcos by the end of October but nothing for the Bold 9700 yet. However, even for the Curve 8520, none of the above 3 telcos can give any confirmation date for the release yet. My guess would be around Christmas, hope the above helps.
Finally a real blackberry on t-mobile with 3G. I have been waiting for this phone. I almost had to buy an unlock version of the bold 9000. This phone brings back the true quality of the blackberry for professionals. I just wish they would have maintaineed the demesions of the Bold 9000 114X66 X144mm
Thank you !
