My 9780 has been my primary handset since March 2011. The 9780 has been a stable handset - my carrier is TMobile USA. I purchased a subsidy unlock code (the same week I bought my 9780) in case of travel. It's been a sturdy and reliable BlackBerry and the 3G has come in handy with tethering.
When BlackBerry comes out with a 4G handset that's 4G and uses OS10, that's probably when I'll upgrade again.
My 9780 got good Speedtest.net scores while I've tethered it to my PC.

I have this device and have rarely used the buttons on the side of the device yet i have recently noticed that the volume up button doesnt work any longer now i have no choice but to leave my device on the volume it is now which is pretty loud and i cant use earphones while the volume is on that loud. any suggestions ppl on what i could do to resolve this problem or do i just bite the bullet and leave the device as is until i can get an up grade? PLEASE ADVISE!!!!!

well actually if you want a better phone you want to buy the 9790 because its new and you will have fetures like hotspot but if you are using it only for bbm emails and internet you should go for 9780! its the same shit only 9790 has touchscreen...
