Camera quality very poor. No wi fi tethering. Cannot update to update OS 7. No pdf viewer, No online storage, no flash player support. Poor RIM.
9780 has an internal memory of just 256 mb whereas the newer versions are equipped with 512 mb.
And as the SD card cant be used for anything except for storing the media files, is 256 mb enough for running the OS 6 as well as the applications??
A very reliable phone, it does all its intended purpose excellently. It lacks the ability and flexibility as a gaming platform compared to android or Ios. But it a bussiness phone after all.
ruebbz, 09 Jun 2012my blakberry is saying error 606 reset for the pst 2days don knw wat to do helpYou need to do a Hard Boot, remove the battery, wait for 5 mins then remove the sim card and reinsert both, let it boot up and watch the fun.
Some app you recently installed has got stuck, so probably uninstalling it might help. Also try to get the latest software for your phone, by connecting the phone to your PC and install Blackberry Manager
A very good and highly dependable phone. Good features, it's got everything you're looking for in a business phone. User friendly and easy accessibility.
I highly recommend this phone.

I am planning to buy a new BB (this will be my first one). My major requirements are:
1. Awesome battery life
2. A good keyboard
3. A decent camera
Now I have zeroed on BB Bold 9780 (OS6) instead of any of the models in the Curve series which operate on the latest OS7.1. My budget is 20k INR. Frankly I’m not really impressed with the models from the Curve family except for Curve 9360. But the reason why I ruled out Curve 9360 is its poor battery life. The rest of the models that satisfy the above requirements (from the Bold family) and at the same time operating on OS7.1 are touch type which I don’t want. This is why I am thinking about buying Bold 9780 which seems to be a decent phone as per my needs. The biggest reason why I am inclined towards BB 9780 is its awesome keyboard (I am a chat freak).
Is it advisable to go for a BB equipped with OS6 even when OS7.1 is being appreciated in the market for long? What are the pros and cons?
Expecting a reply from anyone who’s kind enough to help me out here.
I have a BB 9780 and yesterday I got a gold star icon on the top line, where used to be messages not yet opened.
I don't see any reference of this icon on Apps World.
Could anyone help clarifying what it is this icon?
