I’m using my new 9780 for one month right now and today I noticed that this one seems to have the exact same problem as the 2 other 9780's I had before.
during an incoming call, the MP3 ringtone I use sounds real funny (Eminem sounds like Dr Dré at the bottom ocean) and when I re-listen to that MP3 using my Media player, the ringtone sounds pretty normal. Solving the problem by updating my baby to the highest level is horseplay. (won't work, believe me), this feels like a hardware issue to me. besides, the speakers for media player and incoming calls are different.
A quick battery remove helps to get this problem 'sorted' but unfortunately only for a day or two.
as a BlackBerry retailer i sold hundreds of these units before but no-one else seems to have this problem (at least, they don't complain..) Bad luck or am I the only one who's worrying about this problem. you tell me!
To all bold3 owner, u can update ur OS6 to the latest 18.104.22.1686 from Vodafone officially. To get the file, U can download it from RIM wbsite or Cranberry website. IMO after using this OS, my battery last longer, smooth, shorter bootup time, more stable. Before install OS onto ur phone, U can shrink OS to remove rubbish things that come with the OS, such languages, video etc, then install into ur phone using app loader. make sure u delete the vendor.xml file before install ur phone.
i was using a curve before this and my first blackberry bold is such a disaster. everything seems messed up. anyways can anyone help me with a problem. after i download whatsapp it doesnt work. keeps giving me a java exception error.. how do i fix it. im just so upset i spent so much money on a phone which is worse than my curve that i used for over a year :(
I own a bb9780, its the best phone i ever use. wow, what a phone. So far i do not think comming soon phones can change my mind to buy one. i think this phone is made with my name on it. i love you bb, mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmoa!!
can this phone perfom a videocalling even though it does not have a secondery camera????
jordan, 03 Oct 2011I lost my bbm icon after upgrade. How come?I don't do upgrade or updates anymore because they mess up everything. Mine just crashed the OS and I had to take it back. Try to re-install your bb app again and make sure you never upgrade again else you'll be in even deeper trouble. Same thing happened with my facebook icon after an upgrade and then after that disaster stroke.
So after 3 weeks my bold is back from repairs. I took it on contract so I'm actually paying for a phone I don't use which is depressing. I'm hoping the os crashes again so I can take it back and upgrade to another phone. I like blackberry but if its going to constantly give me java.lang null pointer exceptions or do funny stuff after an app update/upgrade its definately not a stable os and I hate it. Why didn't they throw or catch these exceptions during development. I miss android.
The defect stuttering keyboard is the thing that destroys the beauty of this mobile.
Here an explanation:
