I had my bold 9780 for only 6 days without hardly even using it at all and on the 6th day the software/OS 6 crashed totally!!! the phone cant even switch on anymore. It is DEAD!! IM VERY DISAPPOINTED in BB! i wont even start to mention the other problems ive seen on the phone in 6 days. strolling is anything but pleasant cause the cursor just disappears!! my nokia n81 has had 2 software failures and it is still working great after more than 2 years of intense usage.

Hi, a relative is going to get one soon, hows the internet (speed nd that) and the camera is good? has anyone had technical issues? Thanks for your help :)

Neither bold 2 nor 3 wait for just launched bold 4 alias Blackberry bold 9900 touch. This is the best thing happened to BB. just in time they added much needed phone to their portfolio. Its offers best of both world.s touch and QWERTY keyboard both in the same phone. all other features are perfect. But they should have added a front camera for video calls and the rear camera should have been atleast 8MP instead of usual 5 MP borrowed from Bold 9780.

i installed my 9780 with hybrid OS6..
installed 40 of 3rd apps and still have 290mb application storage...3 mnts booting time (40 3rd apps installed) NO KIDDING
and now run even much faster than usain bolt...hahahaha
I LOVE MY BOLD 2 (A LOT ) !!!

Hey! I've been using the 9780 for about a week now and have discovered some bugs and glitches in the software, just want to know whether they are common to everyone or not.. 3 other friends of mine also have the 9780 and they have the same issues, wanted to ask if there is any way around them because they are kind of irritating. Issues include:
1. The cursor sometimes disappears in the messaging menu while writing a msg.
2. When a message come's and you open the chat thread, then sometimes it just doesn't scroll up at all, and it doesnt even freeze, you return to the inbox and then back to the message and it still wont scroll up until you delete the new message.
3. The LED light for messages stops blinking when you just check you inbox, BUT, after using the phone for a while after rebooting, the LED light stops blinking only when you actually open the new message.. This disparity and imbalance is weird.
Hence these things have been kind of irritating, because I have a Curve 9300 too and that works flawlessly, so I actually had better and more expectations from the Bold, but alas!

Dear all,
i used the BBID for about a week and it was working normally then after downloading a facebook chat application (trial one) then the BBID syopped working and meesage appears (An error has occured please try again later,anybody knew how can solve this problem???

Without turning off the device, take out the battery about 30 secs and then insert back the battery

kram, 08 May 2011can i download videos using this fone?!You mean videos frm youtube? So far I havent found any sort of apps that allow you to do that frm BB

I played youtube frm bold 9780 and after a while the device will freeze and the only solution is to do a battery-pull
And sometimes when you are browsing and after using the zooming function or clicking on the 'return/back' button the scroll icon refuse to move as you want. It keep refusing to move accordingly
As for the speaker performance, strangely I found that my Sony Ericsson W595 played mp3 louder and better than my Bold 9780
I am not complaining about the performance. Just to highlight some areas for imptovement. Perhaps new OS update will solve this issue
I do hope that blackberry device can be more interactive in terms of design and colour. Instead of plain black or white, perhaps they might want to consider some design improvement. (In Malaysia there was a limited edition of Bold 9780-Chinese New Year version in RED and it looks great!)
