I'm disappointed with my new BB 9900. I just bought it last December 31, 2011 and now it's dead. I do not know what happened to the mother board, it just konked out while i'm charging it. What a waste of money. I thought it was a wise decision to buy a BB 9900.
Anonymous, 15 Jan 2012i think this is d best BB ever...very fast nd stylish. thump ups to RIM!thumbs up RIM... alllllright
getting 3rd OBF unit. battery life extremely bad... lucky if just on standby get 1 day. talk time as expected less than any blackberry on the market.. as for rest of unit its fast - can take a wile to not double touch touch screen and pad together.
seems like this got sorted on 2nd OBF unit.
phone gets extremely hot when on charge and does not last long on 3g nor GPS have a travel charger and car charger handy.
Loud speaker can tend to be a bit soft.
Keys are wonderful. - Camera EXCELLENT.
Screen BEST EVER.
Speed - EXCELLENT
Dartel, 14 Jan 2012Wrong decision to have spent my money on Blackberry. iPhone & Androids leave this by miles... moreDartel, you are a really sad person! RIM robbed you have they???? If your here as a troller...please leave! You already know what the 9900 offered as in terms of spec...so if the spec didn't meet your expectations why did you go ahead to buy this then!!! Mel B, 14 Jan 2012Like most of you i love the 9900 and i think this is the best looking BB of them all, however ... moreHi Mel B, not sure what your doing wrong but I've not got that problem in charging every 4 hours! When you first had the phone did you give it an initial charge and drain down 3 times? To be honest, I don't use my BBM as much as most of you guys and girls but do make a few calls and texts etc and my BB lasts for two days. Anyone else having battery issues, try and drain down at least a fews times and hopefully it might solve your problem. Constant charging the battery will only burn the cells and shorten battery life. Hope this helps.
i think this is d best BB ever...very fast nd stylish. thump ups to RIM!
I hav big problem with battery, ia their any solution for it.
mobile is realy good with great functions.
Wrong decision to have spent my money on Blackberry. iPhone & Androids leave this by miles. Not user friendly and the combined physical keyboard and touch screen is an anomaly. It didn't even have a front-facing camera. Put everything together - for it price and features - this is a robbery. RIM guys, wake up to the new century!
its just simply awsome my bold 9900 better than the so cold iphone 4 or any model of iphone. great buy
I'm new to bb and i've noticed that when i call someone who is engaged in call i can't recognize it as it's not like Nokia or any other Symbian Device that shows CALL WAITING to know that the other party has a call.

Like most of you i love the 9900 and i think this is the best looking BB of them all, however my main frustration is the battery life. I find that i have to charge my phone every 4 hrs, and this is when i not even using the phone at all. I had a new battery, sent it away twice and still they can't find a problem. I have now been told by my provider that this is a common fault with this model and would appear that its not just me with the same problem.
As stated the phone is brilliant, it's only let down and frustrating thing is the BATTERY!!! Please consider b4 you buy!
hi to all boldies...
I just bought my bold a few days ago, I love this bold with its build quality, wide and soft keypad, responsive touch screen, vivid screen color. The only disadvantage is battery life, its only can last 11 hours for normal use; 10 calls, 20 text messages, lot of bbm. May I know, if you all here can share, what is the best OS version can last longer battery life.
wherever use flsah mode camare (or on video), as soos as i take picture, device restarts. what may be the problem?it is software problem or related with battery or else?

If you dont use facebook, twitter or any of the other social network rubbish, just delete them also with application manager and that also improves the mobiles performance.
install the latest OS on your 9900 and your battery life will improve (188.8.131.528)
Boldie, 21 Dec 2011The 9900 was my first Blackberry and I love it firstly because it satisfies all my needs and i... moreHi Boldie
Interesting you never mentioned the battery. I am upgrading this week to the 9900 from my (loved) 9780. I shall just have to make the best of it, if the battery is short on useage. And your clear memory tip is good to.
Thanks to GSM Arena, and the information postings on Bold 9900 It seems the battery life is the main consideration of the 9900. I am upgrading next week to the 9900. I have decided that I will accept the battery limitations, as they are. I use some battery tweaks already, on my 9700(fab phone) - wi-fi use, but switch to 3g when out and about - clear log file - use lock when not using mobile phone - reduce background brightness - alter twitter and face book notification frequency - alter from 3g to 2g as required. I think all of these things can help to an extent but bottom line is to be able to charge it whenever. Which I am fortunate to be able to do. I will use BBM texts, email, surfing a lot during the day and evening; so I guess, if I really want this 9900 I have to face the apparantly limited battery . I guess a case of `suck it and see.`
