Jhee, 31 Dec 2011I really like to have this phone but a lot of comments says that the battery life is so bad th... moreI love my bb9900, i have had no problems with it at all, heavy user, battery never dies, i had the previous bold too and this one is a huge improvement, it's really a shame that everyone bashes it so bad. I can only chalk it up to not know ing how to use it. In the beginning i bought an extra battery just to be safe. I never use it. I would definately by BB again! The 9900 rocks for my email, surfing, business, it is all there! the only thing i miss is themes, but hell they were just for silly fun anyway. Buy it it's worth it!
Dear All ... I really need your help ... i want to use / buy Blackberry mobile and i dont know which one to go for ..... I use only Emails and Phone Calls ... this is my use for the mobiles ... Please can any one help me .
00000, 04 Jan 2012???????Yeah????? I've no idea what this dude is talking about either!!! ????
I kept the 9900 for about a month and then had enough. I went from the 9780 to 9900 and found the touch screen Bold needs work. Navigating in the browser was a chore merely getting to the page you need. I had to touch the google bar 20 times before the cursor would just stay put so I could type my criteria, then to hit the search key was also a chore. Then when the list of website options came up and I'd select one, it would sometimes take me to an unknown page. If you do manage to land on the desired web page, good luck scrolling through it with the touch screen. Sometimes the page would scroll uncontrollably and you have very little control! VERY FRUSTRATING.
Also, I found if I was walking and scrolling through a page i.e. email, icons menu or web .. it would also scroll uncontrollably (especially if I was outside waslking and it was windy or sunny!) WEATHER was a factor! If you are in a rush and wanting to activate your desired icon while walking.. it sometimes goes wild!
I adjusted screen and track pad sensitivity umpteen times and that doesn't do anything! Its either too sensitive or not sensitive enough and the "phantom scrolling" issue was a very weird weird problem! I even thought something may be wrong with my particular device so I used my brother in laws under similar conditions and same crap.. he hates it too! Good concept but needs work! Its a guinea pig!
I just bought a blackberry 9900 and what they say about hte battery life is true. Cam to work at 9 am today and by about 430 it was dead. Its unreal how much battery this thing uses. Taking it back
kyobokyosaki, 26 Dec 2011guys, id been bought this 9900 for one week. i changed the os to .540 , disable social feeds, ... moreFrom where u bought 2000 mah battery of bold 9900? Your answer will helpful for me! And my bb pin 28302DD5 you can add me also.
Anonymous, 20 Dec 2011Not sure how you use your buttons...do you use a sledge hammer or something? I've owned BB's f... moreHence why I said in "my" experience; be all there! I know several people who suffer from the poor button quality as well; also - you're speaking as if their Torch and Storm models haven't been successful; not to mention the new touch screen Curve. RIM are versatile; that is all.
i am loving this phone.. i've got a new one and definitely a proud owner of BB 9900 :)
how can it state that the standby mode is 307 hours in 3g?? it cant even finish the whole without charging it again. my bold started at standby mode) 5am to 10 am(then used 10-11 am,1 hour moderate) then standby again from 11am to 3 pm(end of shift at work) then my bold had $40% or less to use for the rest of the day. my bold is on 3g so meaning my facebook, bbm, twitter, whatsapp, email app is on,browser app is on(because I cant turn it off) I do receive facebook messges and notifications, bbm alerts adn messages...and yeah thats what I noticed when I did a standby mode. it's like.. 11-12 hours of standbymode(with receiving data)..40% battery left to be used the rest of the day.

Anonymous, 20 Dec 2011Not sure how you use your buttons...do you use a sledge hammer or something? I've owned BB's f... moreLOL, which is why I said "In my experience" - common sense isn't common in this case. I know many others who've suffered from the same button problem, it's nothing new. Oh really? What about their Storm and Torch models which are doing very well? Evidently you're an obsessed RIM fan so I won't waste any more time responded to you. I have both an iPhone and Blackberry, both amazing phones. The Bold 9900 being one of the best phones I've ever had, like I said initially, the only fault I have with it is it not having touch type. This is how I feel about it; accept it and move on, or shut up.
Had for half a year. Here is the summary: AMAZING PHONE ALL AROUND, SH*T BATTERY LIFE. Best phone I ever had, shittiest battery i ever had.
Y the heck is this phone so costly........stupid it has no front facing camera, small touch display!!......this bull
Hey guys m lukin 4 a gud fone wt a gud batry lyf...coz m a heavy user...cn u teme bold is betr o torch ...??m tokin bout bold 4 n torch ..n also gimi an ovrall review of bth d fones...tnkiuuu
After the disasterous failure of the BB Playbook which was a shot in their own foot, BlackBerrry has gone and committed suicide with the Bold Touch 9900 that I was unfortunate enough to pay for and buy. I have never been more disappointed with a phone, especially a BlackBerry product as I am with this. In a nutshell, battery life is terrible and drains in standby. You cannot have the battery last a whole day on standby on a complete charge. Secondly, the touch screen is also is also a conflict with the phone since you may hit the Speaker button on the screen accidentally and/or be trying to press the 'call' button and will accidentally dial the last number showing on your screen above the "call" button. Sadly, this will be my last purchase of a BlackBerry product and I will jump boat...
nokia fan, 30 Dec 2011no need to compare this bb with other brand< just make a comparison between bold 9780 with ... moreRIM downgraded the battery because in order to make the phone slimmer, something had to compensate so the battery is one thing they had to cut short and the second was the autofocus! Barring that the phone is great! In your statement, I'm only comparing with other Manufacture's because you can only compare like for like in terms of processors / screens and it would be unfair trying to compete an older model with significant battery life that doesn't do half as much. Please don't take offence as I am only trying to help and give my honest opinion! Happy new year to you too!
