hey i have a iPhone 4 and i am very confused that should i buy this blackberry bold 9900 or not ... my main reason for a blackberry is bbm..
please guys help me....
please suggest me..
Anonymous, 20 Dec 2011Not sure how you use your buttons...do you use a sledge hammer or something? I've owned BB's f... moreLOL, which is why I said "In my experience" - common sense isn't common in this case. I know many others who've suffered from the same button problem, it's nothing new. Oh really? What about their Storm and Torch models which are doing very well? Evidently you're an obsessed RIM fan so I won't waste any more time responded to you. I have both an iPhone and Blackberry, both amazing phones. The Bold 9900 being one of the best phones I've ever had, like I said initially, the only fault I have with it is it not having touch type. This is how I feel about it; accept it and move on, or shut up.
Had for half a year. Here is the summary: AMAZING PHONE ALL AROUND, SH*T BATTERY LIFE. Best phone I ever had, shittiest battery i ever had.
Y the heck is this phone so costly........stupid it has no front facing camera, small touch display!!......this bull
Hey guys m lukin 4 a gud fone wt a gud batry lyf...coz m a heavy user...cn u teme bold is betr o torch ...??m tokin bout bold 4 n torch ..n also gimi an ovrall review of bth d fones...tnkiuuu
After the disasterous failure of the BB Playbook which was a shot in their own foot, BlackBerrry has gone and committed suicide with the Bold Touch 9900 that I was unfortunate enough to pay for and buy. I have never been more disappointed with a phone, especially a BlackBerry product as I am with this. In a nutshell, battery life is terrible and drains in standby. You cannot have the battery last a whole day on standby on a complete charge. Secondly, the touch screen is also is also a conflict with the phone since you may hit the Speaker button on the screen accidentally and/or be trying to press the 'call' button and will accidentally dial the last number showing on your screen above the "call" button. Sadly, this will be my last purchase of a BlackBerry product and I will jump boat...
nokia fan, 30 Dec 2011no need to compare this bb with other brand< just make a comparison between bold 9780 with ... moreRIM downgraded the battery because in order to make the phone slimmer, something had to compensate so the battery is one thing they had to cut short and the second was the autofocus! Barring that the phone is great! In your statement, I'm only comparing with other Manufacture's because you can only compare like for like in terms of processors / screens and it would be unfair trying to compete an older model with significant battery life that doesn't do half as much. Please don't take offence as I am only trying to help and give my honest opinion! Happy new year to you too!
I really like to have this phone but a lot of comments says that the battery life is so bad that you'd have to charge it before the day ends, while in some other reviews claims that even if your a heavy user it would work just fine and has some juice left before the day ends. pls help me decide.
Anonymous, 31 Dec 2011im still gonna buy it , is better or the torch better ??? The Bold is better, but in some/most ways they are the same, Bold FTW =)
Excellent battery life one of the best phones I've ever had! best keyboard!
Ok, I been using my BB9900 for about a month(upgraded from the 9700). So far not a bad phone
First of the battery life is not that good, if I'm lucky i can get around a day and a half out of a full charge, and the camera with out auto focus is not that good.
But the performance is very good, the touch screen is the best I've ever used and the graphic quality is really good. It has a lot of memory and storage space plus you can buy a micro-SD card to expand that.
But the main problem for me is the battery life. I got a firmware(18.104.22.1685) update about two days ago and its seems the battery is a bit better. Overall its a very nice phone and I did compare it to all the other phones out there but I like a qwerty keyboard and a touch screen and the 9900 is best of both worlds.
Anonymous, 27 Dec 2011I agree with you for the E72 that lasts you 4 days as I used to own this handset myself, great... moreno need to compare this bb with other brand< just make a comparison between bold 9780 with bold 9900. Why RIM produce bold 9780 with 1500 mAH, but bold 9900 with only 1230mAH. Bold 9900 is newest than bold 9780, how come RIM downgrade on battery capacity?
This blackberry is really a king, the company made an excellent job wich all of us realy appreciates it and this one wich I like about is the body wich is carbon fiber
Oh my goodness i glad i come back to 9900 forum..I too was a very long term Nokia E72 user and found nothing to upgrade too..I have had over past 6 months an iphone 4 and using sgs2 ATM..I hate them because i love buttons that you press..
My dilema was fine about 6 months ago because the natural upgrade from E72 was Nokia E6 but then it had no auto-focus...Thats fine then i will get BB9900 and then that had NO auto-focus..These newer fones had been upgraded but missed out on features such as auto-focus which i do use..I need to get hold of a BB9900 in the shop and see if i can get some answers on how far away i can focus on a UK document i use 5days of the week.I know most folk use it to take snaps but it is stupid of Nokia and BB to take away a valuble function of a buisness smartfone..I only favour Nokia because ive used them since 3650 and its got the superb BP-4L battery powering it,BUT,my last 2 BB were streets ahead with fluency and twitter integration and more proffessional..
I am now off to re-read GSMArenas review and others around the web and get some you-tube info on camera performance..The BB 9810 sorts out my problem but fancy the candybar form-factor.
Anonymous, 26 Dec 2011True but think about it though...it's a smartphone...name me a smart phone that is perfect in ... moreyou need a smartphone better than 9900? buy Samsung galaxy w. half the price of 9900 but much faster, battery last 2 full days. I have used both and with no doubt 9900 looses in every department.
Great Mobile thank you.
Turned the screen down.
Screen timeout 20 secs.
Deleted the social networking rubbish.
Turned of location enabling, and
I have absolutely no battery problems at all.
Better than farting around with a touch creen trying to send a simple message.
