AnonD-4053, 14 Dec 2011Are you enjoying your 9780. Do you feel its a right decision to dump 9900 and welcome back 9780.Honest answer, yes! Despite the 9900 has the bigger keypad and looks striking in the boardroom however, the performance isn't great in terms of battery! The 9900 is a great machine but I need to use my phone alot during the day and sadly the 9900 doesn't last me throughout the day and needs charging before I even set home on the train where there is no facilities for charging. People that tend to use BBM alot / FB etc will find themselves pretty much stranded where as I use it more for business and the 9900 fails to meet my demands. Please don't feel bad if you like the 9900 as it may suit your needs but if you a heavy user then I would suggest you carry a charger with you! Good luck in whichever you choose. Hope this helps.

You want a business phone...look windows phone 7. BBM and BIS is no match for microsoft office and outlook. oh!...and not to mention the reliability that windows has to BB OS 7. BB software is terrible.

This a nice phone and all, but the battery life is very bad, mine was left on over night to charge, took it of charge at 7am the battery died at 2pm, only had 1 phone call 4 emails and some BBM massages. Im taking it back tomorrow.

They send me a new one each time, but it's a big pain in the butt to loose everything since my last sync and have to reinstall all of the apps!
Am really worried about several comments on net concerning the 9900 battery. The phone is quite expensive than what the battery offering.
The RIM should improve on the battery urgently plsssss

SUPER FLOP 9900
HI ALL this ABZ from India and I want to tell you that this is the worst Peice in the market in 30K INR plus price range.
1. The battery sucks: doesn't last more than 4hours on continuous use after a full charge.
2. Creepy OS: Blackberry OS 7 is a 'biiig' flop. It's highly user unfriendly with even simplest controls hidden in layers.
3. Not a smartphone at all: Doesn't suggest last called numbers as u punch numbers in. No 'select all' feature for deleting
media files and documents. My 6000 bucks Samsung star is hell lot smarter than this blackberry crap.
4. No support for Flash: So no online games for you. Time RIM come out of illusion that they are Apple
5. Pathetic Blackberry store: No themes available. NO advance music player is there. No E books exist for this phone.
And for games, Only dinosaur's age Arcade games are there.
6. Erratic trackball (tested that on 4 models)
Verdict: If this phone was priced rs 10K,it'd been a market killer. But at 32K it's the buyer's murderer and plunderer.
I was fool enough to buy this junk, but strongly suggest you to stay away from it. Go for iPhone 4, HTC sensation,
Galaxy S2, -heck even for Nokia, but avoid this trash.
dude update its software through BB apps site.. battery will be okay :)
Peter from Brazil, 09 Dec 2011I have BB 9900. In 3g the battery last like 7 or 8 hours. Im using it in edge (2G) and the bat... moreYes, I have had the same experience, my BB9900 battery now lasts a day and a half with frequent use. Also helpful if u decrease the brightness to 10% as recommended in other forums.
AnonD-33663, 10 Dec 2011Does the blackberry 9900 comes with a memory card?no, mine didn't.
Does the Blackberry 9900 comes with a memory card, because everyone i know who has one say it doesn't come with one?
Some BlackBerry Bold 9900/9930 users have reported their blackberrys are bricking after being charged overnight. Apparently the BBs won't wake from sleep when the user tries to use it in the morning.
A RIM spokesperson confirmed the problem to CNBC and RIM is working on a solution. A RIM spokesperson said, "A limited number of customers have reported an issue where their device does not power on," and that RIM is "actively working on a software update to resolve this issue."
CrackBerry describes the issue: "Instead of your BlackBerry booting up properly, something goes wrong. You might get a JVM or App Error message, the phone might go into an endless reboot cycle, or occasionally it'll just sit there blinking red lights with the display never really turning on. Whichever way it manifests itself, I consider it nuked or bricked. Until fixed, your BlackBerry is useless. I'm really starting to wonder if BlackBerry 7 has some weird issues that allow it to brick a little easier than it should. I received quite a few tweets where people have also bricked their 9900s. And even on the Crack Team we've seen it happen more than it should."
