Oh my goodness i glad i come back to 9900 forum..I too was a very long term Nokia E72 user and found nothing to upgrade too..I have had over past 6 months an iphone 4 and using sgs2 ATM..I hate them because i love buttons that you press..
My dilema was fine about 6 months ago because the natural upgrade from E72 was Nokia E6 but then it had no auto-focus...Thats fine then i will get BB9900 and then that had NO auto-focus..These newer fones had been upgraded but missed out on features such as auto-focus which i do use..I need to get hold of a BB9900 in the shop and see if i can get some answers on how far away i can focus on a UK document i use 5days of the week.I know most folk use it to take snaps but it is stupid of Nokia and BB to take away a valuble function of a buisness smartfone..I only favour Nokia because ive used them since 3650 and its got the superb BP-4L battery powering it,BUT,my last 2 BB were streets ahead with fluency and twitter integration and more proffessional..
I am now off to re-read GSMArenas review and others around the web and get some you-tube info on camera performance..The BB 9810 sorts out my problem but fancy the candybar form-factor.

AnonD-28888, 27 Dec 2011My 9780 can last for two days under heavy use. And to me it is perfect because it can do anyth... moreFair do's that the 9780 / 9700 can last longer than the 9900 but it's still only 624mhz processor! Also screen is only 65k compared to 16m colour screen, this is where the battery comsumes! I know many people complain about the new 9900 but if you can give me a example of a similar smartphone at least 1ghz with 16m colour screen with better battery life then I rest my case!
nokia fan, 27 Dec 2011I'm using nokia E72 for almost 1 year. The battery life is awesome compare with this bold 9900... moreI agree with you for the E72 that lasts you 4 days as I used to own this handset myself, great keypad and build too! BUT, the E72 is much slower in terms of download, half the processor speed (600mhz) compared to 1.2ghz and has less pixels than the 9900! Sorry, I'm not knocking the E72 as it is a great handset but if you can name me a smartphone that is to date similar with the features as the 9900 and has better battery power then I rest my case! Most smartphones are fairly poor in terms of battery and is no fault of the 9900 so anyone that has doubts about buying the 9900, I'd suggest you should give it a try!

Anonymous, 26 Dec 2011True but think about it though...it's a smartphone...name me a smart phone that is perfect in ... moreMy 9780 can last for two days under heavy use. And to me it is perfect because it can do anything that I need it to do, namely Email, IM, FB, twitter, autofocus+flash camera with decent picture, decent call quality, adequate browser (I use Opera Mini most of the time though), simple game to play in my spare time. That's all I ask from my phone.
Anonymous, 26 Dec 2011True but think about it though...it's a smartphone...name me a smart phone that is perfect in ... moreI'm using nokia E72 for almost 1 year. The battery life is awesome compare with this bold 9900. The battery can last 4 days for hard use. For normal use, can last a week.
Had my BBBold 9900 for three months now and apart from the battery not being as good as on my 9700, for all the extras I get on my new Bold I certainly am not complaining. The phone looks and feels fantastic, really fast, beautiful screen and the qwerty keyboard is the best RIM has ever produced. I recently bought the Playbook which works perfectly when bridged to my Bold9900 and when away from home I can even use my phone as a modem to surf the net on my laptop and use my monthly internet allowance (3's 'The One Plan') to my hearts content!. There are always pros and cons no matter what phone you choose, but I`m more than happy with my Bold9900.
