nivlek, 22 Oct 2011Hi guys.. I just bought the BB9900 and was really disappointed with the Battery life just what... moreHi, I just bought a new unit of BB9900 and experienced the same thing. The life span of a full charged battery is about 12 hrs and disappointed. A feed back from the manufacturer is highly appreciated. Thinking of returning the battery to the dealer.
nivlek, 22 Oct 2011Hi guys.. I just bought the BB9900 and was really disappointed with the Battery life just what... morethe battrey life is a dissapointment and either than than that it is a gret phone
Hi guys.. I just bought the BB9900 and was really disappointed with the Battery life just what i've expected from those negative comments. 10am 100% with just using BBM services, FB and ym.. without heavy usage.. stand by mode with open apps... at 6pm it was already 20%..unlike my prev phones like bb9700 has 1500mah batt lasted for 2days and torch..but it was kind of heavy..
THANKS for the tips posted here! hope it'll really work..
I just want to ask if is it safe to buy the 1500mah battery for the bb9900? would it affect the phone? there was a forum here in the Philippines re BB9900 users and the guy bought a 1500mah batt for bb9900 and lasted like for almost 2 days...huhu
please help...... i am 15 years old.. i like the blackberry bold 9900 very much but and the iphone ass well. which of the both to buy.... i dont know i like the blackberrys keyboard and touchscreen but i like and thi iphone apps.... what about blackberrys apps????? please which phone to buy...i want to hear suggests
I heard blackberry is coming with their own network...blackberry to blackberry calls will be free...How true is this?
anyone with battery problems try the following, it WILL help HUGELY
goto menu>options>display>screen disply> change backlight brightness to 10 from 100 (barely noticible birghtness difference between the two)
also turn backlight timeout to 20 sec.
goto options>device>location> and turn location settings off, as gps is barely needed and constantly drains battery,
this should help lots and lots
Seems like an excellent phone apart from the issue of battery life, but that could be solved so easily. Wonder why RIM have not encouraged specialized battery makers like Seidio to make a long life battery for the 9900?
All the New Model come the same problem ,the Battery is Big issue, good set but low class battery, I wont buy it.Pls dont buy it ! wait until Dual core come out.

I with not doubts whatsover would claim BB 9900 to be a fancy BB 9360. BB 9360 is a USD 300+ device whereas BB 9900 is a USD 500+ BB 9360 with few changes inside and lot of changes outside. But the core functions stands the same. What BB 9900 can do BB 9360 can do without any hitch. BB 9360 prices are falling day by day and expected to trade around USD 275 in few weeks to come.
BB 9900 BOLD against BB 9810 torch...Torch has better camera, better battery, bigger screen, same processor, same OS 7, same touch and type interface, same memory and cost USD 100 less. Why? This all makes me think BB 9900 is highly priced. People who do not care about anything but looks definitely will rush for BB 9900 but those who want to have a professional device will look elsewhere. BB 9900 is far from being called a flagship or a professional device as it has many shortcomings and someone who uses BB 8520 can do what BB 9900 can do. So I hate to say this but its a fact BB9900 a is better device after 2 years of launch of BB 8520. Thats it and this wont win BB 9900 any Gold medals. Think...
Did BB provide you better battery with BB9900...No, did BB manage to create BB 9900 with firmware which include smart battery saver application which would enable users to get extra juice when they are running low on battery...NOPE, did BB post any application on App world to complement BB 9900 to manage power resources after BB 9900 is launched since 2 month...again NO NO NO. Does BB even get customer feedback after new device is launched...BB has to answer
I believe people who are buying BB 9900 are smart people and not a mere bunch of folks who look at nice looking design and follow others who some how felt into a trap and bought this device. Why I said so...I would compare BB 9900 with BB 9780 ( its not decent to compare BB with iphone or android phones who are doing miracles everyday ). You pay a hefty price of USD 500+ to get BB 9900 because of looks or specs or convenience of use in your business? When I compare to BB 9780 its so nice to hold BB 9900 in hand, enjoy high specs and feel proud of it. But when you look deep into the utility part you will be dissapointed. No autofocus camera, short battery life, same old menu and software with cosmetic change. BB is not doing enough to bring free softwares by which users can be benefited in their day to day activity. When BB expects you to pay for their new device its their duty to make sure their loyal customers can do better than what they used to do with old range of BB devices. Higher processor, high amount of memory, nice design is just an infatuation which will fade with time and than BB 9900 will be just another ordinary BB device and not the BB 9900 flagship. We as BB fan expects RIM to bring us choices of free softwares which we can use with nice devices RIM bring for us. And what was BB thinking when they omitted Autofocus camera on BB 9900 or I can ask what BB was thinking when they put Autofocus camera on BB 9780. People who are in love with BB 9900 for its design and higher specs should also think what utility do they get with new BB 9900 which they did not with BB 9780. Or just forget it all and get back to your normal life and get yourself a new BB 9900. Anyway who cares about utility when you have money to spare. Hurray, enjoy your BB 9900. Good Luck. By the way, this might offend BB 9900 lovers who love BB for anything they are offered but BB all the way.
