Orange Orange Orange UK where is the UMA option. This is my Third Blackberry, Most expensive and the main option i want. Very disappointed. UMA option was on all the original sales info but it has now been removed.
Battery life yes poor but you will have to manage it by auto turning off device at night and you might just get a day out of it.
hey people i have moved over from the 9700 to the 9900. i love the phone, emailing is so nice on the phone with the new keypad. screen looks lovely too. i dont really care about video zoom as that is not what a phone is for. Yes the battery life is bad and i am not sure if i will move back to my old phone but other then that i do love it.
Blackberry is the most shameless brand cheats, in country Oman 9900 costs around 680 USA dollars. monthly charges starting from of carrier is 25 dollars & usage free of 50 mb only for blackberry only... carrier rental, call, sms, etc charges extra.
AnonD-4053, 13 Oct 2011Does 9900 need an update to solve the battery problem. Read many complaints about this matter.... moreI'm not a bb expert, however I share frustrations of others pertaining to battery life. Seems there are a number of defensive people who seem to think the production of a phone supercedes the phones experience. Personally I am happier with my 9700. I really do think its worth a look around at the options. I was shocked by prices that were 20 percent or less on other phones and that have fewer issues and more functions. Make sure you buy a spare battery - you'll need it.
If you are thinking of upgrading be sure to look around. This phone doesn't have a video zoom, whilst competitors have 3D recording.Application world is still a snore and lacks interoprability with applications such as Shazam. Battery runs dead whilst I sleep, even if fully charged when going to sleep.Near tag is useless and poorly understood in South Africa-especially by promo or store clerks.Reception is near non existant. It costs much more then competitive products. Browsing is not a breeze. I'm so disguisted with this phone, I am selling it and moving back to a feature rich phone with capabilities that the BB doesn't have. Alternatively I am moving back to the old bold. The only benefit to this phone is more memory, pretty useless if it doesn't stay on long enough to use.
The difference 9900 and 9930 is 9900 for GSM and 9930 cdma.. If u in Indonesia, 9930 is not released in here.so that means 99930 is BM.
gsmarena guys if u have good contacts with the blackberry makers & can suggest them this is urgent so pls pass this message - need to improve the bb messenger as competitors r going aggressive. also nothing so exlusive with bb 9900, owning a bb 9900 but ppl with curve 9300 are laughing at 9900 owners as its just the same completely after they installed the new version os 188.8.131.528. pls improve software with features of themes ringtones flash support few good apps free, new bbm, also whole new better os, also make it cheaper & cheaper charges per month... make it wordwide same charges rates plans to avoid anger frustration
what is the difference between 9900 and 9930. i will be grateful if someone can throw light please.
Just got mine and believe me its the best phone ever made by RIM the torch screen is pretty fast and sensitive.
Well said..some ppl just whining like sissy but never take initiative to make a different.Go create your own phone lar...kamanati..nayi nayi duniya heh...pata pon..
My blackberry is not coming up after the outage. A few bb messages have coming but mine cannot seem to send. Mine is a bb9900 . I hope it works soon. It's not funny I tell you.
BB9900 its not staying with charge and when u receive calls u cant hear anything
Ain't gonna spent my bucks to lower screen brightness and switch to 2G. 9780 don't seems to have this batt problem.
Had a lot of hanging and battery sucks big time. Used for a week and reverted back to my bold 9700. Will wait for QNX till i get a new BB.
Frank, 10 Oct 2011Been using 9900 for a week. Kept it on 2G&3G mode. The battery life is awful compared to m... moreI have the 9900 for a week now - beautiful phone, especially the qwerty keypad. No battery issues. I have 6 email id's configured & receive around 30 to 40 mails a day. I am using only 2G and switch on the wifi only when in range. 5 to 10 calls a day. The battery is down to 20% after 2 days. A tip - switch off the location setting as it is a drag on the battery.
ellen, 12 Oct 2011The battery is very bad....I charged the battery three times a day...u bought a fake BB made in china, so your bb battery is such
