Sherif Sameh, 12 Sep 2011The battery doent stand half a day with me....!!!!learn to manage your application sir!
Can't you guys use a higher capacity battery? Are old model battery isn't compatible?
no scratch resistant display, i dont understand how rim releases there primary top phone without an up to date screen.
No hot swap for memory card no auto focus not so good battery no front camera for video calls. hey!
the phone cost a fortune. no buy.
had this phone for a week, good device but missing all the best aplications like shazam, yahoo finace etc for the new os7...they should speed that up...battery is foolish to make a good device with a bad battery, if ever ur out and dont go home that night, ur phone wont last 2 days atall with normal smartphone usage. Im sure rim could have made a better battery, bringing in a 1900mhz battery would make this phone rise higher than it should in the mobile market.
Haters always gonna hate ... everyone has its own opinion so i won't even bother complaining about BB or praising it.
is the camera HD? cause it did not mentioned but the sales promoter who sell me the mobile told me its a HD camera, any one knows for sure.
I am changing my Iphone 4 to the blackberry and i much prefer blackberry, a few years ago i had the pearl and hated it the second i held it but this new blackberry im in love with.
battery life may not be the best but whats the problem with carrying a charger... iphone 4 has terrible signal is completely made of glass which isnt practical. unlike the bb..
VS, 10 Sep 2011I am considering getting this handset. It will be my first Blackberry after 16 years of Nokia... moreGlad to hear your going to get an upgrade. Don't get me wrong the 9900 is great but IF your phone are mainly used calls and battery is important to you then get the 9700 as this will standby for just over a week! If your going to make calls you'd even get 4-5 days out of this!! Of course that depends on how heavy your calls are!!! The 9900 will last 2 -3 days but as i've recently got this it's really hard to measure as I'm using the iphone more and the 9900 is more on standby! Battery isn't as bad what people make out to be!Good luck with your purchase!
Yus666, 07 Sep 2011Have to subscribe to BIS no you don't, fb works on wifi. only bbm needs bis, but you've got sms, so no bis needed at all.

However, just for calls it will hold the 2-3 days... but for example the 9700 goes for more than a weekwith light use.
i had a blackberry 9000 bold, currently using a bold 9780. my only opinion about the battery life is a blackberry is always in your hand instead of the pocket like a nokia. It is very addictive and its not just for showing off but there's just so much to do with it.
VS, 10 Sep 2011I am considering getting this handset. It will be my first Blackberry after 16 years of Nokia... moreBattery life is very poor compared to previous bolds or Nokia handsets. With moderate use I can't go beyond 5 pm on any business day
BATTERY. Backup is very bad less than one day I charge it two times daily iam usuing BB service but battery finish very fast. Even sams s2 battery. Takes longer time to drain inspite of very large screen and dual processor strange but its a fact battery is very baddddd
