Mina, 29 May 2011Can anybody tell me what is the difference between the 9930 and the 9900?! Thank You :)9930 is CDMA and 9900 in GSM
After a scour round the web it looks like a mid July launch,,not good.
I have a good question,,does it have 2 conveniance keys?? My torch has only one conveniance key altho i use this as torch (led flash)it nice to have the other one to lauch camera.
I expect my BB to be taken off charge in mornng say 7am then keep going till 6-7pm at night. That works out about 12 hrs heavy usage.i think this will do that but as we all know until it comes out standby/talktime is laboratory conditions only.
My first BB was the 9105 in November last year and i was blown away by its efficiency for starters, then there was a myriad of settings and customisation which i did not expect. The camera and video were great an audio was crisp but liked the second BB audio quality better.
That second BB was the torch but the big problem with that was the loudspeaker it was so quiet.I did love it tho but sold it for bold 9780.This had such a small font in web and home screen looked cluttered i sold it for samsung wave.
Now i have a BB torch which could be due to the bigger screen i find it better.
Now this arrives with everything i want but as folk have said will battery last with 1.2GHZ under the bonnet.I know with other smartfones these new proccessors have big optimisations and power saving modes so maybe it will be fine.I am sure by now RIM will have thought about this and put in a suitable battery.
I am in uk and dont see any sign of it yet. There is one more thing BB must do and start putting their prices down. Here in UK the torch is same price as the most powerfull smartphone on the planet the samsung sgs 2.COME ON BB gives us a break with these high prices.Until i read many reviews i am sticking with torch.
Anonymous, 05 May 2011Just give me an 8mpx Auto-focus main camera with dual LED flash, a 2mpx front call camera with... moreMate, go and bu a digital camera instead. That's what you're really after. Utter fantasy
Can anybody tell me what is the difference between the 9930 and the 9900?!
Thank You :)
The thing is when the specifications you read they will mesmarize. But in reality when you start usin the dilema is poor battery timin. Least it shud be workin for one and a half day with optimum use I.e. Internet, messaging and calls
wats da fun of 3g , video calling if blackberry doesnt hav a frnt camera.... it needs to improve on dat
gud, but need secondary cam for viedio call, if the price vl less, then it vl be a gud one
Rim are going to have to get some stereo widening function,tv out ,fm radio, and so on to get up to speed with the rest. The things ivee listed have been in fones since 2004..I have concerns about battery life also.
In not so many words,,RIM the world is different now and you are going to fail if you dont get to grips.Every mobile fone can do email well these days and you are bleeding customers to stupid apple.
When Bold 9000 first came out... I said: "The perfect phone would be bold 9000 with a touchscreen".
Lack of trackball is the only difference between this and my dream mobile... I can't wait for it to come out!
rim, pls dun try to too stingy on ur spec. we have to paid for it. a unit of quality device more than sufficient to fight with other rivals at mkt.
No secondary camera, 1.2ghz on a 1230mah battery...damn too poor...BB needs to improve on the battery for a maximum satisfaction..
I think we need to bring along travel charger on my pocket to make sure this device able to last for 1 .5 days. Well, this is the basis that RIM should tackle this issues. The speed/ ROM/ OS have improved but too sad the battery is worse than thought.
