I want to know if there are two models? one for 3G bands 1,2,5,6 and one 1,4,8?
its beautiful though;with its 1.2ghz cpu,but i still prefer the BB 9780 to this 9900.
What a joke. Blackberry is getting more and more crushed by the competition....Wake up RIM...
onefouronezero, 03 May 2011regarding your comment post, i can agree and disagree with some points. in response to all you... morethank you for your detail reply
1- the intention of this move by BB to seperate the corporate mails from the normal ones is to coonquer the mass market too
2- to shift itself being a business oriented phone and to compete with iphone and Android phones such as samsung it seends to improve its multimedia capabilities
3- to make BB a mass market devise they have to improve the following
a- improve its blue tooth capabilitis
b- improve the battery life , meaning the efficiency that the phone and battery work together
c- need to use better camera modules , we are not talking about megapixels but better sensors and lens
d- as we said earler to have a TV out capabilities at least 720P
e- FM radio
f- the most important of all to able BB users to have access to web browsing , youtube , facebook , linkedin , etc even without having the BB service , since sometimes you get the BB service and then you back of due to ecenonmical constrains , there the phone will be come a very primitive devise only for calling and sms ing ,,,
g- to make BB selling points around the world which sells BB accessories and phones and to provide persoal services to mass market customers
the above are the basic requirements to make BB compete with the big players in the market and make a mass market device
BB requiures to make Torch 2 with the new platform 7 , since the slide form factor is essential to have big screen and on the same time compact phone (if you are looking for both touch screen and solid keypad worlds on the same mobile
as general I suppose the BB is on the right track and have understood the new market trends before it is too late
BB, 03 May 2011Cmon BB , Be Bold , Be a little fresh just looking a this shape and size makes me feel sick,Wi... moreThe 85820 looks no different? Let me just clarify this for you, BlackBerry is not for you. I'd stick with something simple like a Nokia if I was you.
BB, 03 May 2011Cmon BB , Be Bold , Be a little fresh just looking a this shape and size makes me feel sick,Wi... morethis phone is purely amazing. considerin its got the looks of the 9000, blazing speed! monstrous ram, perfect. screen shouldv been bigger tho.
savs, 03 May 20119900 is a GSM phone and 9930 is a CDMA phone ..its locked to a network ... 9900 is a 3g supo... moreYoure wrong.. 9930 is still 3G in CDMA way.. 9900 and 9930 only differs with its network due to location network services.. maybe 9900 will be the common to be sold because of its network availability worldwide.. and some supports CDMA for 9930.. 9900 and 9930 will be be sold in different places..
When will this phone be available? PLS make it hurry before the lauch of iphone 5! Or else..its gonna be another war!! ;)
still a 5MP camera???? common its been ages , bb stepping up its game aught to have increased the camera quality as well to boost more attention.damnit
I wish BB could make the screen bigger on this series. They make the screen touchable is good but bigger size will be perfect, BB still has the best email/ text message set up, I have the new Nexus S which is far below the functality of my BB however I like both my BB bold and new android.
Ohi, 03 May 2011I have been waiting for RIM to properly re-make the BOLD. This is exactly what they should hav... moreI agree. This is definitely the best Bold since the 9000. I've been wanting to upgrade my BB, but I just didn't like the other Bold models that came out. I can't wait for the release so I can get my hands on one.
Blackberry, can you make your battery to have more strenght.
It's not easy for us nigerians.
9900 used SIM Card and work on 2G and 3G (WCDMA) Networks
9930 it´s a CDMA 2000 from Qualcom that is 3G network to. but it doesnt use sim card.
Blackberry is improving day by day but they still need to work in the design.....
the 9900 is so not impressive it has no stuff from wat i observe and i agree for the the touch it should have been all touchscreen and jus forgetn the buttons
blackberry bold 9780 with 1500mah battery and bold 9900 with 1230mah.
Instead of having two different models on the gsm version, RIM should have a single device with all bands "HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1700 / 1900 / 2100" so users don't have to worry about switching between carriers. Like in Toronto, Canada switching from Rogers Wireless to WindMobile requires a phone with "AWS 1700mhz" band it's really retarded. Also RIM should build a common OS and RIM should control the updates not carriers, because right now not every carrier do the updates at the same time some. It's a real big deal.
