i have the bold 9900 i think its the worst mobile device battery ever, battery drain without even one use
My wife, 2 colleagues and I have this phone. The battery life is ONLY 1-2 days, nothing more. Dont let their specs fool you. You will basically be charging this phone everyday - I dont use the fone very ofter either
Today i upgraded from a bb bold to 9900 touch screen. I had second thoughts about it as i did not want to really go further with my mobile carrier. But after reading your opinions i realise i made a wise choice. Even my bb bold battery does not last long, but then again its like walking with a mini laptop so thats expected. Thank you everyone who posted. You have made an impact on my MOBILE LIFE...LOL
hello my blackberry's on/off sleep button wouldn't work. any solutions?
guys can u pls suggest me between bold 4 or new curve 9360 or 9300
I got this phone 3 days ago and i love it! love the keyboard and the touch screen. so nice to use! the only thing im thinking so far is the battery seems to go down rather quickly, i charged it last night and by 5pm it says 30% battery left. kinda thinking whether to swap or not to another blackberry!? apart from the battery i love it!
I am so happy to own this beauty. I have been a BB user since ages and the last phone I had was the 9800. I got this phone just yesterday and trust me "its a gem".
Everything on this phone is fabulous. The keyboard is truly a masterpiece and you cant resist typing on it, browsing is super fast, the screen is excellent, the speaker and the music is awesome, All in All a great smartphone and a must have BB.
Battery yes is not that a great, but give me a whole 24 hours so I am happy.
So all you people who plan to change to a new phone / new BB, this one you can surely be proud of owning.
Obtained a Blackberry Bold 9900 in December 2011. Having used Blackberry's for +15 years.
Initially very good performance and spec, although battery life was never more than 36 hours.
However in late Jan, the keyboard started to give problems - with "symbols" appearing when a letter key pressed. Reset to factory status - but problem continued.
I'd taken out a Phones4U insurance @£9.99/month - called Phones4U, and their insurance. The store I went to were helpful - going through the factory reset procedure again - but then confirmed unit had to be returned to RIM (but via their own repair shop) as this was their internal procedure.
I asked if I could get a replacement phone - either as part of the warranty or under the Insurance scheme. As I was 10 days over the 28 days from date of purchase, Phones4U wouldn't provide a replacement & their own insurance also wouldn't provide a replacement.
Phone has now been away for 15 days & the latest estimate is for it to be returned to the shop in 6 days time - but this scheduled delivery date has already been shifted out by 5 days - in the last week.
Fortunately my old Blackberry Pearl is still functioning - otherwise I'd be looking at almost 30 days without a mobile phone.
Not happy with the fact the brand new Blackberry failed within 60 days - with no physical damage or obvious cause.
Also not happy with Phones4U, either their insurance (which doesn't cover replacements during repair periods - due to defective equipment) - nor their internal repair procedures, which insist on the phone being transported between various repair facilities needlessly.
Should have stuck with the B/Berry pearl - which hasn't let me down in almost 3 years!
Hi all. Had this device for a month and its amazing. Battery was lasting a day with heavy use and ofcourse on only 2G
All of a sudden now for a few days my battery just drains in 5 or 6 hours with the same settings on my device !!!
Anyone can help ?
hi there,my bold 9900 just stopped vibrating.please any solution?thanks.
Hi Guys, can any one assist as to how can i move the downloaded apps to the memory card?
I did agree that the battery was terrible, but trust me the new 18.104.22.1687 precisely detailed, that software update significantly increases battery life it did solve battery issues. And overall the best blackberry ever.. I had all the models of BB and my overall positive impression goes to this model.
I currently have a HTC wildfire s, I hate the battery and it glitches .. and the screen is to small is the blackberry bold 9900 better ?
The battery life sucks on this phone. I regret buying this phone as there is no point having a phone if it keeps on dying.
Just got my bold 9900 5 days ago to replasce my bold 2 (camera could not function) First excited but then confused cos no call logs displayed. After toying around with it, found out something to share. From Home Menu, select Application then select Option - scroll down to Call Management then choose Call Logs and List then set your choice...
Outstanding phone! I'm an INDIAN, got the phone near Mumbai! Mentioned this because the OS 7.1 hasn't been launched yet here, and the current 7.0 has its share of software glitches, which can be annoying, particularly on a bad day! ;)
So had to do a bit of a research and install the unofficial release of the OS 7.1 (22.214.171.124 to be precise)! And since I have installed this, the outstanding beauty gets even better! Minimum software glitches (though there still are few which are pretty manageable, which I guess will be eliminated in the just released 126.96.36.1997 which I will update soon) and superb performance- very smooth and great battery life! The battery life's better than the high-end Droids in the market!
All in all, the best Blackberry ever- drop-dead gorgeous, brilliant performance, a fabulous keypad, classy display and fantastic ergonomics!
j, 23 Feb 2012i am planning to buy this phone which i heard is the best one yet and im also new to blackberr... moreI've owned the Bold 9900 since it launched in August last year. It's been the best Blackberry I've ever owned (coming from an 8900 and 9700)! The keyboard is fantastic, rarely any lagging (except for when using photo editing apps) and is so thin and light! Have not had any issues with it, and I absolutely love this phone. The only draw back I've experienced is the lack of auto focus in the camera. My old BB's were great at capturing text (when you're on the run and have a bad memory like me), and this one just comes out in a blur. For faces and scenery it's been fine though. Hope this helps!
