I had the BB9900 for 2 months and changed to iPhone 4s .... Big mistake. The iPhone is nowhere near the working tool I need . The 9900 is quick to operate in any function and the combination screen allows for easy operation. Going back to BB 9900 next week ...really can't wait!
The phone is cool but i need someone to help me. Whenever i receive incoming calls, it does not show the name of the caller even those that i have in my contacts list,so what could be the problem?
the phone couldn't be made better. perfect little piece of work. there is one thing i dont get that the maps on the phone dont seem to work .the entire phone is based around it . you can unleash 10% of blackeberry usage . but its weak .remember the chain is as strong as it weakest link. anyways there are no complaints we always tend to ask for more. thank you blackberry.......radicalise the future..bechoperrz
batery is vry bad and it hangs also.i had bold 2 whch ws awesome, regret buyn dis.poor battery performance.
Ive been reading and listening to all opinions on the bb bold for a while nw, these people actually almost made me not buy the best phone I ever had. I think all these blackberry haters should get a life and crawl back into that hole they emerged from. This phone is awesome guys trust me. If u thinking of buying it go ahead dont doubt it for a second. My battery last for 1 and a half days and i use it all the time and i didnt even update the software yet.
So all u haters stop bashing the phone, go spead your lies and rumours somewhere else. Im out
The phone is awsome, but battery stinks! it is wery short and it can stay full maybe 5 hours not any loger...but still phon is pretty cool...
I bought this phone after having sold my Galaxy Note. BB 9900 is a great Phone and Messenger!, however, the battery is pretty average(worse than on 9780 which I had had before). Though, in comparison to other top smartphones(Android, iOS) it's not bad at all. QWERTY rulez and touch screen is very nice to have.
Very responsive no performance issues.
The only significant drawback to this device is the small amount of Apps in the BB Apps Store and the network speed seems lower than on the Galaxy Note or S2 for instance. Great device for anybody who wants a solid smartphone not a toy.

Also, I've lowered the display down to 40% and also drain down the first 3 times and fully recharge your phone. That way you give it the optimal performance! Personally I wouldn't go for the torch or the 9790 as it's lower spec and also no guarantee that the battery is better!
Pau, 14 Feb 2012Right. I think I'll get the 9900. Thank you for the insights! :)Your welcome. Good luck and hope you enjoy it!
Hi guys I planing to buy 9900 I've checked and asked many people about the battery life most of them agreed that this phone has a an battery issue but at the same time I got feedback from other users that the new version or stock of 9900 has no issues with battery life and it's been solved iso7 Is this true???????? or should I go for Bb9780 or 9790
Please help me

IF your expecting the 9900 battery to be the same then you will be disappointed! However, the features on the 9900 will make the 9700 look silly and personally it is worth buying over 9790 as the 9790 is a curve replacement and slightly slower processor than the 9900! Your call! Battery wise 9790 probably won't be any better than 9900! Good luck!
I have been a BB Torch 9800 user. Then I switched to Samsung Galaxy Note. The note was good but I think Blackberry is anyday better for day to day use. So I switched over to this BOLD 9900 6 days back.
Trust me the battery life was pathetic intitally for like 2 days but after fully charging N draining it to zero for 3-4 times changed the battery life dramatically. Now once fully charged it give me a back up of 18-19 hrs under 50% screen brightness & talktime of 70 mintues on 2G network with frequent BBM & facebook use. I thinks its pretty decent for a smartfone.
I have been a BB Bold 9700 user. Then I switched to HTC Sensation. The Sensation wasn't bad, but I think Blackberry is way way better. So I'm switching back.
Is the battery really THAT bad? Because my old 9700's battery life was awesome. I text a lot, open FB, and keep the 3G on all the time, yet the battery lasts 'til the end of the day (which the Sensation definitely cannot do). I kinda thought all blackberries are like that. :|
So should I get this phone, or buy the 9790 instead?
