I finally bought the Blackberry Classic for my partner. None of the stores, kept the Blackberry, so we had to order it without trying it out in real life. It was a real leap of faith, but I am glad it paid off and it is a very good phone.
My partner can't handle touchscreen phone and still loves her old Blackberry. I am glad Blackberry had the confidence to push forward a new product. Her old phone struggled with Internet. So I am there is a new Blackberry to meet modern challenges.
My first impressions is that it is a brilliant phone. I have tried it out and overall I am very happy.
The battery life is brillient. Camera and Video are good.
There are two ways to get apps. One is the Blackberry Apps store and the other are the Amazon App store, which store Android apps (not all the Android apps are there, nearly all worked, a few had minor issues, which I am going to report to the App developers, so they get feedback and release updates Apps).
The phone is a little wider then say a Blackberry curve (just in case there are any lady's with small hands)....

Blackberry have spend a lot of time perfecting this phone before releasing it. They learnt from their previous mistake. There are two places where you can get Apps for the Blackberry Classic. One is the usual Blackberry App store, so you will find WhatsApp there. The other places is the Amazon App store (which stocks Android apps, however it does not have all the apps from Google Play.). You will find Viber is on Amazon App Store.
It is a well made phone. It is a little different from the previous Blackberry, but on the whole a great phone.
Battery life is great. I used it an entire it continuously to take photos and record a music concert and battery life was great.

There are social media native BlackBerry apps like facebook, twitter, foursquare, linkedin, etc and you can import others from android via amazon maket, or by downloading .apk apps and install them into you phone.
If you father is a hardcore social media and multimedia type of person, you better buy him an android instead of BlackBerry!
ifti, 31 Oct 2015why internet cost too much high in black berryBecause security costs and BlackBerry services are not for kids who plays Candy Crush or Angry Birds.
BIS, BES, BBM and BlackBerry e-Mail Client are using exclusively BlackBerry servers and an encrypted connections. That is why BlackBerry is banned by secret services in some countries - Using only BlackBerry servers, they don't have any control on it.
Anyway, BB10 OS is running with basic APN internet, like any other phone. You dont't need APN BlackBerry to access the internet.

Google play store app won't install on blackberry10 phones...
Please help if you know how to install Axis bank and OLA cabs app on blackberry 10 phones...
ESSENTIAL APPS ARE VERRY IMPORTANT IN EVERY SMARTPHONES...
i love this phone, for those who hated it and compares it to apple and android phones, well this isn't a toy, its a professional business class phone for successful people :)
am using the blackberry classic for 5 month, its very good, i advise, major apps are available on blackberry world, for other apps you can use amazon store, its not that fast compared to iphone, but its stable, doesnt hang compared to BB OS 7
so if you are not a gamer, you should buy this device, why to pay more for iphone or samsung?
Blackberry world is suffering from lack of essential apps...
If we install android apps, then it will lag too much. Because android apps are designed for android phones. Android apps are not developed for blackberry 10 phones..
Some android apps won't work without google play services app.
Missing essential apps like: ola cabs, axis bank, uber, shareit!, Viber, GOOGLE MAPS, HDFC bank, Tata sky etc..
I bought the Classic (via Amazon) when it first launched, but returned it. At the time, I didn't feel like I was getting enough out of it to justify its hefty (for me) price tag. Now, here I am, many months later - and I rebought the phone. This time, VERY slightly used, from Amazon for $260. I'm keeping it and I'm beyond happy. Why?
Because I use my phone, first and foremost, as a PHONE and a communication device. There is simply no other phone that handles calls, messages, and emails quite like this one. The Passport is too big/oddly shaped for me (I'm a woman with average-sized hands), so the Classic was my choice. I do basic social networking. I do not need a bunch of apps on my phone I'll never use - and if I want to watch movies, I have a TV and a computer. The camera is serviceable. I have installed a functioning Google Play Store on the Classic using instructions found online at Blackberry's most popular fan site. Honestly, with the Play Store added, I am not missing any apps I'd really like, except for a standalone FB Messenger. That being said, FB messenger is already integrated well into the Hub. The only thing missing is the ability to use stickers.
The build quality on this phone is nothing short of amazing. Once you acclimate yourself to its gestures, BB10 is a superb OS for navigating around. If you want a phone to play games, stream music/watch movies, this is NOT the phone for you. If, OTOH, you juggle several email addresses, social networking, texts, etc. and want a very efficient way to manage them, give the BlackBerry Classic a try.
I've been using BB classic for almost two months now and ever since i've updated the latest blackberry os10.3.2474 the battery life is getting really poor as in i put on the table with wifi connected without using it at all battery just drain like that. Anyone experienced it? need help a.s.a.p thanks.
The Classic brings perfect design, but the cpu is far too slow.
Terrible experience when making a search.
Dual core was a dumb choice. No excuse.
