The OS software by RIM is far behind compared to Android. The Kit Katt version all of its updates are an absolute fun and lot of success, from the smallest version way up to top end version. Manifique I love it. Blackberry's latest operating systems (10.3) does not come even close, it is going to get worse as Android moves a high rung step up with her just released "LOLLIPOP". I hope it is even taster than Kit Katt was
edy.f, 05 Feb 2015thinking about droping my iphone 6 and getting this... how compatibile is this phone with mac?... moreI had a Q10 2 years ago and had to leave it after a year because it wasn't getting the apps I wanted to use. Last week I checked blackberries app store and it doesn't look like it's changed in a year. Doodle Jump is one of the games still displayed on the highlight reel!
Forget whatever you've heard about android apps too, you'll be lucky if they work on that strange 1:1 screen and even luckier if the ones that do work, do so without glitches.
I hate to tell you this but you're just bored with your phone. It's the top one in the market but it doesn't have an app for loneliness. Put it down, go outside, and see the world through your own eyes.
Does anybody know when will the blackberry classic be available in the UK in white ? Thanks.

See its addressbook, its memopad and task manager applications.compare these with iphone, microsoft or android. You will know the difference. And also during incoming calls blackberry displays a lot more info about the caller (from the addressbook) than all the other Operating systems. Only a business can understand and utilize these functions.

If the device shows no OTA update form provider, try forums for OS_10_3_1_2072, this version is very stable and radio software part is very well done. I have no issues so far. Install should be clean. Backup your contacts and files but do not restore from BB Link. Just copy paste them back when update is done.
During calling, call automatically drops and phone showing network error and I need to call many times for single call. Can anyone help me?

Anonymous, 31 Jan 2015Can we install viber apps to the blackberry classic? No Viber and Skype is a problem here. LINE works well in OS 7 as well.
It has the same components as the two year old Q10, and they were mid-range when that phone released.
Same old hardware, same mediocre camera, same awkward screen ratio/resolution just a little bit bigger.
Build quality is like a toy, it feels so cheap on the backside. Where is the premium feel glass weave back?
Plastic camera lens cover will get easily scratched unlike the glass lens on Nexus 5 and iPhones. Plastic "toolbelt" and trackpad get scratches galore after a few days use.
Please, stay away from this cheap phone with recycled old components.
Blackberry 10 software is AMAZING, but you will get the same experience on a Q10, Z10, or even Q5 for $100 - $150 instead of getting ripped off with this $500 atrocity!
please somebody knows if the viber laste version is working properly in blackberry classic? thanks
After two years I noticed my relationship with Android went sour. To many apps that would not work jointly. My Samsung Galaxy was also too slow, kept on asking me what app to use after clicking a link. Battery went flat after less than a day, so I needed a spare battery, which also flattened quickly. Nothing safe with Galaxy either. VPN only starts after all other apps visited the internet. Like putting protection on after having intimate moments.
I thus decided to return to BB. I now have used the Classic for a week, and I am very, very, very happy.
Everything works seamless, the email, calendar, contact functionality is sublime. The Hub is really neat - it collects mail from about 10 accounts form me - but no clutter.
Other things I like:
1) VPN is automatic.
2) Predictive text is ass it should be, it even thinks about the next word you will type.
3) I can connect the Classic via wifi via a samba-link protocol, which works fine with my linux desktop.
4) Passwords can be imported into the BB keeper, which is safer than any commercial password manager out there.
5) The browser has a neat reader mode that makes a page easy to read.
6) Battery lasts more than a day!
