pls apart from 3g and gps what is the difference between 9300 and 8520
justgotmy9300, 03 Sep 2010I guess choosing this phone depends on your location and your provider... The 3mp camera...... moreIf only people were more like you. I haven't read a comment with such common sense or intelligence in a while. Thank you.
I guess choosing this phone depends on your location and your provider...
The 3mp camera... Well, you'll be a user if you're not so much into taking photos with your cellphone. I, for one, am not. I only take photos when I want to post something on twitter. I'd use a digicam if I want something better.
The touch-sensor... I don't really remember what they call it. But it's way, way easier than that greasy trackball they used to have on their phones.
GSM Phone.... This is a quad-band gsm phone. If you know your provider well enough, you know that this phone carries the most-used frequency worldwide. So, if you have an unlocked one of these, you can use this virtually in any place in the world - with the exception of a handful of countries.
HSPDA Technology... Again, if you know your provider well enough, this is something you should look for in your phone. Updated providers are changing their services into this, so if you want to be flexible this phone is something you ought to look into.
Going for this phone?
Well, if you are smart enough, you'd know what you need in a phone... You know how much juice you need in your cellphone. Hence, do not choose a phone because you believe it's THE HI-TECH... or the latest of gadgets... Rather, choose a phone that will satisfy your needs and the specs you want.
If you think this device is crap because BB did a better model previously... that's your thought... but it all boils down to consumer... there's a specific consumer that the 9300 targets =) and it just plainly isn't you. It's somebody else.
Therefore, this is a great phone. In my country...
All providers carry this phone. =)

Anonymous, 30 Aug 2010curve 9300 and bold 9700 have different segmentations. so dont compare them, coz it's not fair... moreSome people might want the features but don't want to pay for the fake leather and better camera. Spec-wise, the 9300 and 9700 are the same. The 9700 has a higer res screen (480 x 360) while the 9300 still has the 320 x 240 that the Curves (except the 8900) have always had.
High-resolution 360x400 pixel color display

2G is like using dial up compared to broadband with 3G, where data is concerned (emails, internet).
3G is better for calls recetion wise also, although it is not necessary everywhere.
ziedrichz, 29 Aug 2010Hello all, i want to ask about the curve 3G. is the 3G really worth it compared to 8520? I w... moreThe difference goes unnoticed if you are only using it for chatting but you will see it when you are browsing facebook.
from the outside maybe this curve 3g is very similar or almost identical to 8520..
but this fone has 3g, faster processor and bigger ram than the 8520. so it means this fone is much faster in accessing menu and browsing internet. even more it's a os 6 ready blackberry device. so it's a worthy fone I think..
looks good to me. 8520 has no gps, 8900 has no 3g and the bold is too big. blackberrys are awesome!
