JRF, 11 Aug 2010I am a Curve 8520 user and I am in no way a fanboy. I do enjoy smartphones and am always looki... moreWell that is what happens when you buy a cheap ( its only a £138 phone) blackberry like a 8520, i use the pearl 9105 currently running on os5 but RIM have stated it will support os6. Looks like i made a good choice, you get what you pay for
[deleted post]I didn't say Blackberry were the best in the whole world. That's a personal preference. I hate Motorola's build quality. The Droid, the Dext/Cliq both wobble and sliders shouldn't wobble. The only thing that saved Moto was Android. Even then, HTC makes better Android devices.
Gadgetfreak , 13 Aug 2010what kind of low-phone is this ?? no CPU , only 256MB for total ROM+RAM ?? this phone isnt c... moreYou couldnt be more wrong. Even the 8900 can run more than one app at a time and its specs are worse that the 8520!!
2mp sucks they could put in at least 3,2 with autofocus and flash (xenon would be nice)

Blackberry phones are very capable smartphones and my 8520 can run more than one app at a time. But I do agree that this phone is a "cheating" phone because my 8520 isn't even 1 year old yet and RIM already are going to replace it with this 9300. Just to add 3G and GPS. That's it.
is the phone going to be available in the UK, I've looked online and I can only find the USA release date :)
i have the 8520 and love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!but i would like something a little better
what kind of low-phone is this ??

this phone isnt capable enough to run more than 1 application at the same time.
internet wont run smooth on this phone
what a cheating phone
can you change the faceplate and keypads on this? is it worth the wait? or should i get a red 8250 right now
I have just got the Blackberry Curve 8520 and I love it!!!
Just wondering when the Curve 3G will be out in the UK so I can upgrade to it and get an even better Internet connection.
Black berries are too masculine. RIM should try make a feminine phone. Iphone4 was a waste of ideas and money. Nokia N8 it is. Please dont disappoint.. but y'all tryn
I dont care how much free browsing u get.all blackberrys are fugly.i would consider getting 1,if bb joined the 21st century with designs
Anonymous, 10 Aug 2010Just wonder why bb is still the number one smartphone in the market? main reason it just works... moreHey, thanks for that! Somehow what you've said answered the question I've been asking myself for months. The question was, why should I choose BB. Well, I've become into a person who's more into messaging, be it business or personal. When I was younger, I was more into just games but then I now have desktop and laptop so I don't really use my phone for entertainment anymore. So yeah, maybe I'm gonna buy a BB. But I don't think I'm gonna buy this one. I prefer quality, so maybe I'll look at the pricier ones of BB.
i think this is abit stuipd to be honest. ive got a curve 8520 and the wifi is fast enough. this curve is the same just with a better battery, 3g and maybe 06. the camera and all the other features are the same. RIM could of made a better product. i will not be changing my curve 8520 for this.
My friend and my brother hav the 8520 and they both say its awesome! but im lookin @ this fone 4 my mom and she needs gps which is a big up 4 her!!!!
I guess some of you are not pleased with the specs of this phone, since the only big difference with the curve 8520 is 3G. A lot of friends of my son own a curve 8520 and are very pleased. This phone is probably going to be affordable for them and they really don't like that the curve 8520 only has 2G. As everybody else they like to surf on the internet and this is the answer to their prayers. They still like their BB's and this is the one they can afford. So I guess BB also thinks of users with a low budget.
