I'm not a business user but i quite like the fact that i can get my personal emails and access the web. I also would like to synch with my outlook calendar. Can someone pls confirm whether the Curve suitable or is there a better alternative. thx.
I Really love the curve!!!!!!.But the thing is there is NO wifi which will really help Alot in saving cost while surfing the net!But i came across a Blackberry originally without Wifi but the previous owner had it customize WITH Wifi!!
Is there anyone that knows a place that makes that installation for your BB?
If only BlackBerry would make their phones 3G enabled with EDGE tech on them then I'd become the biggest BlackBerry lover but without those,no can do!
Jim Smith, 20 Aug 2008personally, I would recommend staying away from the blackberry curve all together! I am a f... moreAnd you say that you are "high level user of computer " !!!. Sorry but, before lealn to use something, try to read. I had the same situations like you with my BB 8310 and all solved with litle reading and searching over the Internet. Thank's, Aris
personally, I would recommend staying away from the blackberry curve all together!
I am a fair high level user of computer and have had pda phone since the very beginning.
Switched from a treo 650 which worked great - synced w outlook no problems and did all the setup myself
Curve has been a a total pain - i have spent hours and hours on the phone w verizon to get the calendar to cync properly. Verizon finally got someone on the phone from RIM and they got it working. there was no chance i could have figured out the settings they gave me. 2 hours plus on the phone w support to get a sync to work
now i just spent 1 1/2 hours on phone w verizon to try and get the curve to pair w blue tooth computer. in the end i got the computer to pair with the head set but not the phone so the verizon tech said i had to call RIM - AT 49 DOLLARS A CALL!
I WISH I HAD MY SIMPLE DEPENDABLE TREO BACK!
my advice is - be prepared to spend some money on tech support w black berry is you buy a curve and again, i am good with computers
i just can think of reason for blackberry not putting wifi and gps at the same time
how do i send a business card or contact to a cell and not to an email??? i am desparate, have tried everything, pls help!!!! Also my emails disappear??? they are there one minute and then gone the next. I have checked all the setting, but can't seem to find one that will help? !!! Any suggestions?? Other than these questions, i love it, great having your office with you.VERY COOL!!!!
bushako, 24 Jul 2008Hi guys, its been about 3days now and i cant decide whether to get a bb curve 8310 or nokia e9... moreMobile data is always expensive. So i would go for the Blackberry for sure. It is designed for push and be permanently connected the net. Besides the E90 is not so great. However the Curve is smashing!! E-mail personified. Stylish and a nice size. The qwerty keyboard is very comfortable compared the E90. One downside is the Curve has only got edge , but is still very fast, compared the the E90 has HSDPA.
hi, I'm trying to decide between the bb8310 and the samsung tocco. Both very different phones I know but anyway! I've read most of the comments posted and see that ppl wouldnt recommend the bb8310 to non-business users. I want the phone for accessing personal emails, texts, calls, music and organiser. Would this phone still be suitable for me?? I love how it looks and can get it for 199euros with o2 but dont want to if the services I want aren't as good as other phones. Help please? thanks
If i were to review this Blackberry i would have to say that i quiet like the simplicity of the phone, althought it takes some time to get used to, once used to it is quiet easy. but the keyboard and track ball can be a bit twitchy and stiff and the dictionry is very poor. its opreating system is very fast and even with over 1GB of media stored on the phone it was fast. I think that this phone would need a makeover in that the menu and overall look of the phone would be changed to a more classy(window vista)from a dumb basic style.... overall:Good phone.
