hopefully when i get a blackberry it will not disappoint me.. as my sony ericsson has here lately.. im looking foward to a good phone and a better upgrade.. and hopefully im not making the wrong descison with chooseing this one!
Could someone plz explain to me why is the 8320 rated at 6 while the 8300 is rated much higher (8.2)? From what can see the 8320 is basically the 8300 with the added benefit of Wifi. Even if th Wifi is slow - it is still only an addition and shouldn't negativelty impact the device in any other way.
I don't buy a phone that does not have a high rating at GSM arena so I'd realy like to know if this low rating is only because of a few disappointments (like the lack of GPS) or is the 8320 an inferior phone compared to 8300?
for the picture message to work, you need to have the blackberry plan or you need to call customer service and tell them to add blackberry voice add-on(t-mobile).
I used blackberry quit a bit and the pearl was nice but it had horrible speakers this curve is almost the same as the pearl but it has a full qwerty key board and it has better speakers and camera...between this and the pearl I rather go with the CURVE...
if any of you have any questions regarding blackberry and its use, features, models, etc
you can contact me, i use all the latest blackberry devices.
I could give you suggestions on that.
with cell phones these days, you can not get a phone that will last for years - usually how it goes, you buy a phone and 6 moths later there will be a blackberry out that is ten times better than what you bought
This is my first blackberry and so far its great. One thing I cant figure out for the life of me though is people sending me photos from there phones dont seem to make it to the curve. Also when I take a pic it used to be easy in other phones to send the pic as a text attachement but it only seems that I can send it through email. am I missing something or is this just how the blackberrys work?
I was wondering, is the pearl or curve better? and if its the curve, which of the curves are the best? is it this one? Because I want to buy a phone I will want to keep for years!
you have to change the format on the video's to avi. you could use 3gp converter.
People who comapre Black bery with other brannd dont understand that black berry is a reliable phone it never crash .and u can trust this device so please dont grow up and try to understand the technology .black bery is not for kids its for those person who want to use mobile for business purpose
this can open jpeg, pdf, xls etc.??? i don't know what your talking about?
OK, This is not at all even close to as good as a Nokia E61i, the Nokia can open jpegs and documents on emails this cant, this is ok for school children to text one another, or IM one one another certainly not a reliable too for business.
The only reliable tools for business are Nokia, HTC, I-Mate that is it. If your seeking a semy ok toy this should do the trick.
But for surfing the net wow it sucks, for business emails being that it doesnt support HTML. It sucks what good is it good question.
I bough this phone 2 weeks ago, absolutely loved it, better than a nokia E61i, better than the Sony Ericson P1i, this BB is Awesome, the wifi is immense, y does it matter about 3g if u have Wi-Fi?, this is easily the best phone i have had, its a brilliant business & Social Phone, Why the low rating.
Love it... the best keys around, makes it super easy to use. GPS who needs it. Download google maps! Super maps... gives you live traffic updates, turn by turn directions, the works.. It supports Yahoo,MSN,ICQ,Google talk..
Great reception, good sound, blazing fast internet.. the only one huge striking flaw is the inability of of blackberrys to view HTML email. Rim should really think of thier customers... it should be included. The cheapest of the cheap cell phones can do this! RIM lets get real! Stop short changing us! You can buy a program that will bring your email to the current decade.
Excellent cell... save for the email short commings. You can buy software to fix that for 35.00.
you can download msn or yahoo messenger or aim if you want. The things is you need to have wifi or blackberry plan connect to internet.
is it suitable to be used by a student like me? i'm going to college n just love3 the design... can anyone help me?
I like blackberries a lot, but i have never had one, is it worth me paying the money to get one when i wont be using it for business?
Just to let anyone who might be interested know, the blackberry curve 8320 does NOT, REPEAT NOT have GPS. There are lots of review sites with reviews of this phone, and while it is true that it has Blackberry maps, I'm informed that it does not offer live turn by turn directions using GPS. I tried emailing Blackberry themselves for some technical information, but all i got was some smartarse telling me that if i wanted technical info then i would have to subscribe to their technical helpdesk at 50 dollars or some such stupid figure. IF ANYONE HAS A BLACKBERRY CURVE 8320 and IS able to get turn by turn directions using GPS then my mail address is firstname.lastname@example.org, however this information would only be of any use to me if it relates to the UK specification 8320.
Thanks for taking the time to read this.
